Chapter Five
I was thoroughly unprepared to meet dragons. I think I would have turned into a pool of orgasmic goo at seeing one, but three? Three had my mind and soul going into some kind of hyper speed. I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. It was only them.
I stared at them like I was glued to them, my soul screaming for them as I took in every glorious inch.
My heart slammed against my chest over and over, an ache spreading over every inch of my body, demanding attention. I never knew staring at a dragon was so painful. I needed to balm to soothe the ache, and the only way was to get closer to them.
I was sure I looked like some kind of dragon fan girl ready to strut over there and hump them.
But I didn’t care.
Mostly because I was ready to strut my way over there and hump them like the horses in spring. I had never felt anything like this before, and now I felt it everywhere. I knew I shouldn’t, but I couldn’t help the feeling. The strong, primal urge had taken over.
The first dragon was the most intimidating and the hardest to look away from. I wasn’t sure what it was about him. He was a powerful black man, everything about him screaming confidence as he sat, looking completely in his element as he stared around at the crowd, watchful, aware, his tail curled around the stool, out of the way.
His wings were a dark blue, tucked tight against his back as he glanced around with eyes that were nearly the same color. One of the other dragons said something to him, and he responded briefly before going back to being watchful.
The dragon to his right, the one with red wings, leaned over and patted the blue dragon’s back. The red dragon was trim, tall, unshaven, but in a styled scruffy kind of way. His brown hair had a slight curl, falling over sharp brown eyes in a way that was obviously planned. Nothing about him was untidy, he had perfected messy, and his fancy breeches gave him away. He dressed rich, his clothes fitting him well, the cut of them molded to his body. The way he ordered his food was extremely flirty as he reached out and touched the girl on her arm, at least until the third dragon said something that had him sitting back with a sly smile. Cocky dragon, but I had expected that
The last dragon, a strong man with green wings, was just as different from the other two as they were from each other. His skin was tanned, his long hair dark, everything about him was mysterious, even his eyes that were the color of sea foam, a green so bright they made it hard to breathe. They looked everywhere, missing nothing.
Something about him was more quiet, more reserved. He was polite, smiled only when expected, and mostly kept to himself, letting the red dragon revel in all the attention. Frankly, the green dragon seemed like he didn’t want to be there.
But they were dragons, and everyone loved them for it. I loved them for it. Not once could I tear my eyes away from them as I pretended to eat.
“You gonna eat that or let it just drizzle down your chin?” Da asked, tapping the back of my hand in an attempt to pull me away from my creepy dragon staring.
Not gonna happen.
“Kinda hard to do right now,” I mumbled, forcing my gaze down just as one of them turned to me. By the goddess, I swear I could feel his eyes drag over my body.
I didn’t want to be here. I wanted to be over there. I wanted to touch them. Explore the feel of their wings. I wanted to feel the explosiveness of their body. Potentially as they shoved me against a wall and took me then and there, their cocks slamming hard enough into me to make me want to scream. All three of them were so big that I imagined they’d be impressive down there too. Long. Hard. Strong. Powerful.
Oh fuck! Wrong thing to think in the middle of a crowded inn.
I pressed my legs together as heat flooded through me. My skin tingled, feeling like it was ignited as I imagined the arrogant one fisting my hair in his hands and tilting my head back as he bit at my neck, claiming every spot on my skin. My fingers twitched to feel the hardness of the black man’s cock as he gripped my hips hard. I wondered if the third dragon was as reserved with sex as he was sitting there quietly. Would he be slow and steady, driving me insane with anticipation as he slowly pumped his cock inside of me, or would he loosen up, show his strength, send me screaming into oblivion with his power.
I wanted to know. Needed to know.
I was about ready to run over there, desperate to close the gap between us when something hard slammed into my foot. I grunted as I jumped back in my seat, spilling the stew all over my lap.
“Rayna.” Da’s voice was icy, cold. Furious.
My head snapped up to see his dark gaze on me. His hand was clenched on the table. He looked ready to break something. I had never seen that look in him before. I had never seen him look so frightening.
I only knew gentleness from him, even when he was being stern. But it was different now and for once, a small knot of fear curled in my stomach.
“Stop staring at them. You are poking at something very dangerous right now.” His voice was as icy as his gaze. I just stared at him. It didn’t feel dangerous.
“But Da,” I tried to say around the dryness in my throat.
“No. I get that you’re attracted to them as a rider, but you are unclaimed. You cannot form any bonds with them. You must be pure for when you reach the training rounds and meet your dragon.” Da looked down at the front of my cloak, his lips pressing together. “Go to our room. Now. I’ll be up shortly.”
I gaped at him. He could not be serious.
His glare narrowed. “Rayna.”
I jumped to my feet, my hands in fists at my side as I picked apart his words, trying to build my strength to take him down. He acted like I needed to be some kind of pure virgin in order to train as a rider. That was a load of shit if I ever heard any. I wasn’t a little girl anymore. I was a woman. I let Kile rut and cum inside of me, I was anything but a virgin. How was hanging around other dragons going to ruin that?
