“And you’re obsessed with it.” Sam smirked. “You love it when I get under your skin.”

“Maybe so,” I said, as I leaned toward him, my fingers settling in underneath his chin. “You could say I love it about as much as you love me being inside you, as much as you love being underneath me.”

“Maybe so,” Sam repeated, his cheeks growing redder with every passing second. He closed the gap between us, his lips searching for mine. I returned the kiss, my tongue slipping into his mouth, deepening the connection.

Eventually, I broke off the kiss, a question popping into my head. “Do you want to get dinner tonight?”

“Is that a possibility? With the roads still being kind of hard to drive down—”

“It’s a possibility, if we don’t go too far into town,” I explained. “There’s a restaurant not too far away from here. It’s close enough that I feel safe taking the truck.”

“Is it like the grocery store?” Sam asked, excitement in his tone. “Just a magical place that’s a little off the beaten path?”

“Not exactly. It’s a lot more like a regular restaurant. Nothing too surprising,” I replied. “But the good news is that you’ll be able to get a better sense of Roanoke.”

“You’re telling me it’s not all magic? All the time?”

“Oh, it is. Just in different ways.” I beamed back at him. “So, does that sound like a plan or what?”

“Sounds good to me.”

“But before we do that…” My words trailed off, as I shamelessly eyed Sam up and down.

“Something on your mind, sir?” Sam’s words were flirtatious, almost singsong. “Someone on your mind?”

“You. Just you,” I admitted, before I took Sam’s hand in mine, gently pulling him off the couch as I stood. “Come on. There’s something I want to show you.”

I held Sam’s hand all the way down the hall, only stopping when we came across a locked room near the back of the cabin.

“Isn’t this the storage room?” Sam asked, curious. “I tried to open the door a day ago, but it didn’t budge. I figured it was an only-you-have-the-key-situation.”

“You’re right about that. Only Wild Woods pros get the key,” I said, as I pulled it out of my pocket, inserting it into the door. I then cracked it open, as I went on. “But it’s not a storage room.”

I watched as Sam’s eyes went wide, glancing around the room at rapid speed.

“What is this?” His words were low as he stepped over the threshold.

“It’s a half sauna, half shower. It’s something included in all of our cabins but usually comes at an upgraded cost due to all the cleaning and such.”

“Seriously?” Sam’s mouth was hanging open. “I don’t even remember seeing this as an option when I booked this place on the website.”

“It’s not a year-round offering.” I smirked. “Don’t worry. We weren’t keeping anything from you.”

“Except you kind of were…” He spun in a slow circle in the room. “I can’t believe this room has been back here this whole time.”

“I’m happy you like it.”

“Are you serious? Of course, I like it!” Sam playfully scoffed. “Who wouldn’t?”

I came up behind him, softly wrapping my arm around his waist. “I was thinking that before we go to dinner, we should probably get cleaned up. Besides, it might be a nice way to relax after you’ve been working so hard…”

“Mhm. This is pure altruism.” Sam let out a small laugh.

“Of course. What else would it be?”

Sam turned around to face me, his hands resting on my shoulders. “Fine. How about I go put on something more comfortable and you get the sauna going?”
