Cody smiled and left the room.

The rest of them decided to watch a movie while the others slept.

Thirty minutes into it, though, someone knocked loudly on the door.

Ryder got up to answer it, and Lucca strolled into the room.

Cody, Jace, and Skylar got up to congratulate him.

Lucca looked around. “Where are the girls?”

“Sleeping,” Cody said in a low voice.

“I’m going to wake my girl up. We’re meeting everyone in about a half hour.” He opened Torr’s door, then stopped. “Make that an hour.”

He stepped into the room and shut the door behind him.

After they woke Maddy and everyone freshened up, they met the whole team at a local club.

Lucca got them in the VIP section, which was roped off in the back. It held a large, semi-circle booth with a coffee table in front of it.

Jeff started chanting, “Husky Shots! Husky Shot!”

The waitress came over and put two shots in front of everyone.

Ace picked up a shot. “To my team! You’ve been the best team I could ever ask for. I’m going to miss you all. Next up, NFL drafts!”

They all tossed back a shot except for Cody. He’d never been much of a drinker, not to mention that someone had to watch out for all of them.

“Come on, Anderson, tonight is about celebrating.” Lucca thumped him on the shoulder. “You can let go for one night. Nothing is going to happen to anyone with my whole team around.”

Jace smirked. “Come on, big guy, get that stick out of your ass.”

Kirby leaned around Ryder. “He’s afraid his girlfriend is going to show him up.”

“Is that right?” He threw back the shot. “I bet I can drink you under the table.”

Lucca shook his head. “No alcohol poisoning tonight. Just some good ol’ fun.”

“To the Huskies!” Greg yelled.

After that, Cody didn’t remember much about the rest of the night.

Just bits and pieces.

He vaguely remembered dancing with Maddy and Ryder.

At one point, he was up on a stage with Ryder, Jeff, Greg, Kirby, and Ace. When he looked down, Lucca and his brother were laughing their heads off, filming the whole thing.

The next thing Cody knew, he was waking up back in their suite.

He rolled over on his back. Why the hell was he on the floor?

He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Goddamn, his head was thumping, and his mouth felt like a desert.

He stood and scanned the living room.
