He pressed inside her, the head of his cock gliding slowly over that spot that made her gasp. Skylar shifted his angle to graze her pleasure spot again as he filled her.

“Yes,” she moaned. “Oh, God, yes.”

“You like that, Princess?” He drove into her. “Mm, I can tell how much you like it.”

He leaned down, almost on top of her, so his mouth was close to her ear. “I love you, Maddy, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, raising our kids.”

His whispered words brought her to one of the most earth-shattering orgasms she had ever experienced, and Skylar was right there with her.

At dinner, Skylar asked if he could go to the NA meeting with her. After his binge last night, he felt it would be good to go to a meeting, too.

When they picked up Grant, he wasn’t his usual excited self.

He was quiet on the drive to the Elk Lodge, and when they tried to pull him into a conversation, he kept his answers to one or two words.

Maddy figured he was nervous about her leaving, but the guys were right. Grant would need to learn to do things on his own. She wouldn’t be around all the time.

As they all walked into the meeting, Brian walked over. “I’ll allow you back, but only if you promise to behave.”

“I’m sorry about last time,” she told him. “I’ll be good.”

When Amber and her mother walked in, Amber skipped over to Skylar with a bright smile on her face and hooked her arm through his.

“Skylar.” Amber’s mother beamed at them. “I’m so happy that you came to support the mother of your child during this time.”

He ripped his arm away from her. “I’m not here for you. I’m here for my girlfriend and for myself. We’ll talk after the meeting. Now, leave us alone.”

Brian came back over, his attention on Amber. “I just told Maddy, and now, I’ll tell you. You can only stay if you behave.”

Amber huffed and flipped her hair over her shoulder. “I behaved the last time. It was her who started it.”

“Come on, Grant.” Maddy nudged her friend into motion. “Let’s sit somewhere else.”

Brian stepped in front of Amber and her mom and pointed to the two seats in front of him. “And why don’t you two sit here?”

Skylar, Maddy, and Grant walked across the room to the seats farthest from the two vile women.

As Skylar sat down, he kissed her. “Sorry about that.”

She reached for his hand. “It’s not your fault.”

The meeting started, and when it came time for them to ask for speakers, Maddy raised her hand. It shook as she held it in the air, but it was time to share her story. She had to get it out there.

Brian motioned to her. “Maddy, please come up.”

Her knees shook as she walked to the front and stood behind the podium. She took a deep breath. “Hi, my name is Maddy, and I’m an addict. Before I go into my history, I want to apologize for last week when I got into an argument here.”

She then described her time with Wings of Refuge, followed by her move here. That was all the easier stuff, up until she got to the part about Mike moving in with her. She explained how she thought she was helping a friend by letting him stay at her place, but that was her biggest mistake.

“I always knew Mike dealt drugs. He was doing it even back when we lived at Wings of Refuge. But I never thought he’d drug me.” Maddy placed a trembling hand over her heart. “I have an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper, and I constantly drink it. When it tasted off, though, I didn’t think anything of it. Not until the night I saw my friend injecting something into one of my bottles.”

She gripped the sides of the podium. “He’d been drugging me the whole time he was living with me.”

Maddy continued, telling them how he had been using her as a guinea pig for his new drug. How he later kidnapped her and told her boyfriends that she had gone to visit a friend.

When she got to the part about the fire, she started shaking. “I would be dead if that firefighter hadn’t risked his life to get me out of that room. But going to the hospital didn’t fix things. I needed help. I needed to learn how to deal with life without the drugs.”
