I backed out of Eli’s grip and dropped Dec’s hand. “What would a new kingpin want with me? It doesn’t make sense.”

“Probably just someone trying to get the vamp population thinned out. It happens from time to time. We’ll figure it out, love.” I wished I felt the same confidence that Eli did.

I stood and started to pace the room, much like Vik had been doing. He stopped and stared at me. “What? You can do it, but I can’t?” I snapped. He shrugged and sat down. I felt bad about it immediately. There was no point in apologizing. They all knew how freaked out I was.

“So, we’re just supposed to assume that this has nothing to do with Delilah directly, even though someone has drugged her twice? Both times, there was a human used as a delivery system. Both times, the intent seemed to be for her to kill the human. How is that not personal?" Declan spoke as if he were inside my head. I’d had the same thoughts.

“But who would want to hurt her? How would we find out without her memories?” Vik wondered aloud.

Eli’s face lit up with an idea. “What if I do a new background search on her? The first one I did when we met. I wasn’t looking for anything tied to criminal organizations, just her name and where she lived.” He looked at me sheepishly.

“I’m supposed to be weirded out that you researched me, right?” I raised an eyebrow at him. When he nodded, I nodded back and kept pacing. I couldn’t care less that he’d done a background check on me when we met. As far as I knew, I had nothing to hide. There was no visible connection from me to the Powder operation. “Are you sure it’s not someone who had a beef with Uncle Vinny?” I knew that my uncle was into some shady shit when he was alive. Maybe whoever had killed him wanted revenge for something.

“I’ll check him out too. And your parents. That may take more research, though. I couldn’t find any record of them when I searched you before.” Eli explained, apparently feeling less embarrassed about the situation since I wasn’t upset.

“Good. I wish I could jump-start my memories so I could help. They happen so randomly. I don’t know much about my past.” I was starting to get frustrated. I was certain that the guys could tell. Usually, in this situation, one of them would ask me to spend some time with them while the others worked. They claimed to need me, but I knew it was just a way to distract me from worrying. I could probably count the seconds until someone volunteered. Three, two, one—

“Myshka, would you come with me? I think a nap might help your memories.” See what I mean?

“Sure, Vik. A nap sounds great.” He wasn’t fooling anyone. For him, a nap meant mind-blowing sex—the kind where I was screaming his name and the other two were fighting their jealousy. But there was nothing wrong with that. It made Eli and Dec try harder when it was their turn. Besides, I would never intentionally cry out just to see how they’d react. And if Vik knew, he’d never tell. I followed him to his room.

After months of being locked up with my guys, I realized that sex never happened in my space. They always insisted that we go to one of their rooms or use a common space. I’d been with Vik and Eli in nearly every room but my own while Declan avoided me. “Why don’t we ever go to my room?” I asked Vik as he closed the door. I turned around to see him slipping out of his shoes and jacket.

I walked over and started unbuttoning his shirt for him. “We all agreed to respect your space. You should have a room that is just for you.” His response was sweet.

“But each of you has slept in my room before. So how does that work?”

He laughed. “The room is yours to do with as you’d like. When you’ve asked us to stay with you, it was because you were upset and sex wasn’t what you’d needed.” He grabbed my shirt and pulled it over my head, disconnecting my fingers from the buttons on his shirt. Then he peeled the dress shirt off his shoulders and tossed it to the floor. Vik backed me toward the bed, grabbing for my leggings.

“Hey, I’m trying to have a conversation here.” I tried to play mad, but he could see right through me.

“Mm, I know you are. And I’m trying to make love to you. Which would you rather do right now?” His voice against my ear made me damp, and the conversation was forgotten. Vik pressed his lips against mine and eased me back on the bed. He poured his passion into the kiss until I wasn’t sure I could ever resist him again. “Did you decide?” I nodded and raised my hips to allow him to remove my leggings and panties while I reached around my back and unfastened my bra.

When I looked at him again, he was naked. I have no idea how he stripped so fast, and I really didn’t care. The lack of clothing drew my attention to his massive cock growing just for me. I licked my lips and reached for it, but he stopped me, pushing me back on the bed. Vik kissed me again, first on the lips, then trailed kisses and nips down my chest and stomach. He stopped short of my center. I was already wet and waiting for him.

Chapter 39

Declan

With everything that Delilah had to be upset about, Eli approached Vik and me when she was sleeping. The three of us talked and decided that any time things got a little heated or stressful for her, one of us would take her out of the situation and distract her. No one said with sex, but I was pretty sure that was what both of them had in mind. I wasn’t complaining; sex with Delilah was amazing. I just didn’t want her to be upset that she got left out of some leg work to clear her name.

To be fair, Kayden hadn’t admitted that he knew her name. He didn’t tell me much of anything. That was the reason Vik was distracting Delilah right now. I needed to talk to Eli and give him information on how to spy on the hunters. I couldn’t believe that neither he nor Vik had someone within the organization anyway. They seemed to have eyes and ears everywhere.

“So, he’s going to keep her busy the rest of the night?” I asked, walking over to the computers.

Eli nodded. “That’s the plan. Whatever it takes to keep her occupied. He’s going to keep her mind off what’s going on out here. That’s what we all agreed on. Why?”

“Good. I need your help. I think we can get into Kayden’s system and find out what he knows, but I have no idea how to do all of that.” I explained, pulling a chair out and sitting down.

“That’s some major hacking, pal. And it’s highly illegal. What makes you think I can do it?” Eli tried to deflect and deny, but I raised an eyebrow.

“Oh. My bad, I thought you were a tech wiz. Delilah and Vik are always going on and on about how Eli's the man for the job if it has to do with a chip or processor. If you can’t, it’s okay. I’ll find another way.” I knew that my words had hit home when his face turned red, and he stomped away. I sat there and waited, knowing that he would come back.

Not a minute passed and he was back at the computer next to me. “You’re an ass. If you knew that I could do it, why didn’t you just say that?”

“I did,” I started, pausing to cover my chuckle. “What do you need from me to get access?” I had a little info about Kayden’s business and his involvement with the hunters, but not a lot. I hoped that I had enough to help Eli get into the system.

“Ideally, I would want a physical location and IP address. I’m guessing you don’t have both of those, though.” He turned his attention to the keyboard and started typing faster than my eyes could follow. “Do they have business records kept under the hunters, or do they run it through his company?”
