He gets off me, pulling me to an upright position, smiling at me and then bending in for another kiss as he pulls me back onto his lap.

“I have a confession, you know about the pregnancy.”

He stares at me, in that instant something changes.

“What?”

I pull back, shocked at his tone. I glare back at him. “Firstly, never ever talk to me like that, and secondly I was just going to say that Jayne knows,” I tell him sternly.

“I'm sorry baby, I was worried. You told me the news, but were then going to say this baby wasn't mine,” as he looks down at my belly, rubbing it.

“What, you can't be serious, whatever makes you think that? I'd never…”

He cuts me off. “I know that deep down, it happened to a mate of mine, long story.” He kisses me softly. “I love you, Abigail Smith.”

My phone starts to ring, I get up and answer it. I walk into the kitchen to make us both a cuppa tea, grabbing a couple of plates ready for our dinner. “That was Jayne on the phone, she's on her way up with our food.”

Rob moves off the sofa just as Jay walks in, placing the bag of food on the side. “Are you both good?” she whispers to me, as she looks at me then over towards Rob.

I smile at her, “Yeah, we are more than that,” I tell her as Rob comes to us and leans up the breakfast bar.

I start to plate the food up, as I'm saying ta-ra to Jay I hear: “So my girl tells me she's told you about the baby.”

“Yeah she did.” Jay looks at him. “I'm very happy for you guys.”

I cough as I say, “You're meant to be looking after the bar.”

“I'm outta here.” She turns and starts walking to the door. Just as she opens it, she turns back to us. “Names, you need names,” she says then walks out the door.

Rob comes up behind me. “I love you Smithy,” he says as he wraps his arms around me.

“Right back at ya.” I smile as I turn my head to look at him. He pecks me a few times on the lips, then turns me round to face him. His lips are on mine in a frenzied attack. I can feel how hard he is, I want him now, but we cant, fuck it who says? I'm so turned on, I undo his trousers and push my hand inside, releasing his solid cock. He moans into my mouth, then moves to my neck, biting and kissing it. “Take me, take me here and now,” I whisper, all raspy.

He spins me round lifting my dress up, but just as he bends me over my stomach flips, my mouth starts to water. “Oh no, no no no!” I push back on him- “Move!” I scream. I make it just in time to move the bowl out of the sink before the bile comes up and I spit it into the sink. I have nothing left, the contents of my belly all gone. I put the cold water tap on, washing it down the plug hole, as I heave again.

“Shit baby, you alright?” I look over my shoulder at him as he slaps himself on the forehead. “I mean I know you're not okay, can I get you anything? You need a lie down or a glass of water?” he asks me in a panic as he rubs my back.

I push him back a little. “I'm fine, I'm probably going to have this for a while.” I fill a glass up with water and take a swig. Swishing it around my mouth and then spitting it out to get rid of the aftertaste. I turn back to face him. “Come on, move out the way while I finish dishing up your food.”

“You sure you're alright?” he asks with a concerned look.

I kiss him on the cheek. “I'm all good, now grab yourself a beer while I finish dishing up the Chinese.”

After he’s finished eating and I’ve finished moving rice around my plate, Rob clears the table as I settle onto the sofa. “How are you feeling? You hardly ate anything.”

“Stop going on. I've told you I'm okay.”

He eyes me suspiciously as he approaches. Sitting down beside me, he pulls me over to him. “So long as you're sure.”

“I am. Fancy watching a film? You can pick,” I say to him. I snuggle up close putting my head on his lap. He grabs the remote from the arm of the sofa and puts Netflix on, looking for a film to watch.

“I wanted to tell you about the baby while we were having dinner, I really didn't want to just blurt it out like I did.”

“It doesn't matter, I'm over the moon.” He leans down, kissing the top of my head.

I slowly open my eyes and see Jayne and Owen sitting across from us. I shoot up, as I rub my eyes. “Oh my god, what time is it?”

“Time for bed,” Rob tells me, as he sits forward.
