“Why is it, for the most part, it's true,” Jayne fires back at him.
“Wow, what's got your goat, I was only saying…”
“Well don't, keep your fuckin’ opinion to yourself.”
“Okay, calm it down,” I tell them. “We're meant to be having a nice drink to celebrate our first month as we've done so well,” I tell them.
I can see Jayne knock her drink back, as she eyes Owen, but he just sits there looking back at her.
“I have to go, I have got an early start tomorrow,” Mary says. We all say our goodbyes and I walk her out of the bar through the doors. Just as I'm about to turn around, Rob is walking towards me. He pushes me back against the front door, “What the fucckk, umm, you really do know how to treat a girl,” I say between him kissing me on the lips and around my ear.
“We can't do this here.” He stops and walks back into the bar. What the hell is he playing at? I follow him through. “Where have they gone?”
“Owen's, she asked if he had something to hide as it seemed he was defending the cheat, whatever that meant I've no idea.”
I look at him, not knowing what to say. Shocked that she would even go down that road. I thought after the weeks they had spent together he would have said. But then again, you never know.
“Don't even think about it, I can see your cogs going around.” His jaw ticks as he passes me a drink.
“About what?” but I know he knows I was going to ask him if he has a lady in his life. I start to laugh and sit down on the barstool.
“So?” I prompt him. “This is the last drink for tonight, I've got to just wipe a couple of tables down, get rid of the glasses and…”
He cuts me off. “Chill, the tables are done, glasses are in the washer. All we’ve got to do is put ours in there and turn the lights off.”
He walks around the bar, taking the drink out of my hand as he pushes his body in between my legs. My hand goes onto his chest to stop him. I'm a bit nervous with only the two of us here. I mean yes, I want this to happen.
“Penny for them Smithy?” His voice is all gruff.
Fuck it, I have waited long enough, my hand fists his top as I pull him into me, and my mouth crashes to his. He pulls away looking at me, maybe trying to read me, I don't know.
He moves to my neck. “You sure, I don't mind waiting,” he tells me in between kissing my neck and moving up to my face then lips.
“I'm sure.”
His mouth is on mine in a frenzy, the passion I feel in this kiss is like nothing before. I can feel how hard he is pressed against my core. I moan into his mouth, our tongues dancing together, as my hands grab at his hair. I wrap it around my fingers.
He moves position, putting one hand at the back of my head and the other up my skirt, rubbing me through my knickers. He pulls away slightly, pulling me forward on the stool, and my skirt rides further up my thighs. As he kisses my neck, moving down towards my collarbone, I moan running my hands over his chest. The next thing I know someone is banging on the door, shouting. I jump, pushing Rob away as I stand up and the banging continues. I straighten myself up and Rob adjusts himself.
“Stay here,” he tells me as he walks off.
“No, I'm coming with you. I ain't no dog that you can say that to. And it's my bar.”
“For once will you do as I fuckin’ ask, please?”
I stare at him, as the banging on the door gets louder. I put my hands up in surrender. “Okay,” I say as he turns and walks out towards my front door.
“Can I help you?”
“Where is she, so you're her bit on the fucking side, her new flavour of the month? It isn't going to last. She always comes back to me. The bitch always does. Now move out of my fucking way,” I hear someone say, snarling. I can see someone trying to force the door but Rob is not letting it go. He turns his head towards me and I nod, he then opens the door a little wider while still holding it. A figure dressed in black tries to barge past Rob, but he grabs hold of him.
“So she is here then?” the man says, trying to break free.
“Who is it?”
The man looks up. “Ian, what the fuck, what are you doing here?”
Rob turns his head towards me while I'm standing just inside the bar door. He turns back to look at the other guy.
