“Most definitely.”

"Sit and have breakfast with me, sweetheart." Drakon held out Dean's chair for him and helped him get seated at the table.

“Thanks for the clothes. I’ll gladly pay you for them.” Dean grinned at the memory of how his clothes were lost.

“It’s my pleasure to provide for you. You are my beloved.” He had breakfast set out and ready. “Eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice, mixed fruit, yogurt, and coffee, so help yourself.”

"Wow, that's a lot to choose from." Dean was impressed and touched by Drakon’s attentiveness.

“I wasn't sure what you like, so I thought I'd try everything. I forgot pancakes. Would you like pancakes?” He was eager to please his beloved.

“No, this is great thank you.” After they were both seated and eating Dean ventured a few questions.

“The glamour that you spoke of that loosened my inhibition. Once it wears off, will I go back to being uptight and unsure about everything?”

"The glamour wore off long ago, and you and I continue to be open and free with one another. The glamour simply allows what needs to happen. . . to happen. It also opens your lover's mind to reality, which helps tremendously with humans."

“I was already aware of vampires.” That caught Drakon by surprise, and he set down his fork and gave Dean his complete attention.

“How is it that you know of vampires?”

“Ashley dated a vampire for quite some time, and then he broke her heart.” Dean shook his head. “She was really broken up over that guy.”

“Who was this?” Drakon wanted a name. Their anonymity was paramount to their safety. Anyone sharing that information with someone not connected to the coven could suffer banishment or death, depending upon the outcome of their action.

“He left town, so that helped her get over him. After that, we started looking for vampires everywhere." Dean was taking this all rather matter-of-fact.

“Did you tell anyone else?” Drakon was feeling a tension rising in his gut.

“No, it was obvious to both of us that it was something we could not share. But it was the beginning of Ashley hanging out at the Blood Rose.” Dean shared as he finished his breakfast.

“Yes, I am familiar with your friend.” Drakon responded and then when Dean shot him a concerned look he amended that statement. “I am familiar with her simply as a bartender nothing else.” He smiled and Dean relaxed.

“That would have been awkward.”

"No danger; I prefer lovers of the masculine variety.”

"Me too." He grinned, and that touch of shyness showed once again. This man was just too lovely for words.

"You said that you're an enforcer with your coven. What does that entail?"

“I provide protection and security for pack leaders and members. If there is trouble, the enforcers are the ones to sort it out." He decided to go with the basics, not wanting to bog down the morning with a job description.

“Do you like your job?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Do you have a good boss?”

“One of the best.”

“What’s their name?”

“Master Conall Rose.”

“The coven Master is your boss?”

“Yes.” The back and forth continued for a while and Drakon was sure to answer every question as openly and honestly as he could. His beloved was learning the landscape of his new existence and Drakon was going to provide him with all the answers he required.
