I scooted in the bed while Christian stared at me. Smiling at him, I said, “Well, come on. Let’s get some sleep.”

CHRISTIAN

Once I started the shower, my phone rang. It wasn’t my family, so I allowed it to go to voicemail. I got undressed and hopped in the shower to wash my day off. It had been another hot one.
