I watch as Melody seems to be scrolling on her phone, though I can’t see from this angle what she is scrolling on. With a huff, she gets up, tells her Alexa to play some ‘90s hip hop, and off she goes dancing from room to room. My little sparrow has no inhibitions right now, she’s completely free, moving to the music as she goes. She’s a wonder to behold. Even though I know she is processing everything a little different than anyone else, I adore seeing this side of her. The side where she completely lets loose.
This continues for a good forty minutes, and I’m transfixed by her for every single one of those minutes. She grabs what’s left of her wine bottle in the kitchen and moves towards the living room. Switching the camera feed to the living room, I watch as she drinks straight from the bottle before laying down with a comfy blanket and bringing up her phone again.
Figuring now is the perfect time to catch her reaction, I quickly split screen the apps and pull up Tinder. I shoot her a message, watching the camera for how this affects her. The response is immediate. She tenses, releasing her phone into her lap, and dropping her head back on the couch pillow. My little sparrow is flustered. I shoot off a second message and finally get a reply.
Me
Hello beautiful.
Not gonna say hi to me?
Melody
Hi there Jaxon. How are you?
Me
I’m pretty good. I see that we matched on this app, huh?
Melody
Nice way to state the obvious.
I think the app made a mistake though.
Me
Why would you think that?
Melody
Because I don’t seem like your type.
Me
What do you think my type is?
Melody
IDK, blonde hair, blue eyes, perky tits and hour glass figure.
Me
Well, Melody, I swiped right on you for a reason.
Melody
And what might that reason be?
Me
Well for starters your beautiful green eyes.
You seem to have a love for reading, which I also love to do. And your curves might not be hourglass, but they sure do something to me.
Melody
You’re just saying that.
