I gasp when he lowers his head and begins sucking on my clit, his finger sliding inside me and thrusting gently until he finds my g-spot. In all my time with Richard, he’d never managed to find it, yet Jake found it almost immediately last night, and now I’m a writhing mess while he works me up until I’m screaming his name, the orgasm rocketing through me.

“Gorgeous,” he says while I come back down from the clouds, reaching over to grab a condom from where he’d thrown the box on the bedside table last night.

He rolls it on before reaching over and pulling me on top of him. I rise to my knees and sink down, taking him all the way, and he hisses between his teeth when I begin to move my hips in a lazy circular motion while I grind against him. Moving his hands to my hips, he urges me to move faster, his fingers digging into my hips.

“God, you’re so beautiful,” he says before sitting up and sucking my nipple into his mouth, flicking his tongue over it while I throw my head back with a moan. He keeps guiding my hips when he moves his mouth across to the other breast and does the same thing. “That’s it, Bri. Come for me,” he says, and I lock eyes with him while my body shudders against him.

He flips us so that I’m under him, and I wrap my legs around his waist. He moves at a leisurely pace, rolling his hips while his lips meet mine, and I tangle my fingers in his hair.

He presses his forehead gently against mine and picks up the pace, and I moan again when he reaches down to circle his finger right where I need him to.

“One more, Bri. I want you to come with me,” he whispers, and I nod, unable to focus on anything other than the pleasure that is starting to build again.

“I’m coming,” I moan, my eyes drifting closed.

“Look at me, Little B,” he says, and I open my eyes to gaze into his. “That’s it, good girl.”

“Jake,” I scream his name when the third orgasm hits me while his fingers keep working my clit, and he thrusts into me over and over.

“Fuck, yes,” he says, and his moans mingle with mine when he comes as well, our eyes still locked on one another.

He lowers himself to kiss me again, and although I know we’ve just agreed to a friends-with-benefits deal, something inside me knows that we’ve just crossed a line from which we can never come back. And that scares me to death. But I don’t think I can go back now, even if I want to.

Jake Boyd is like a drug, and I am ready to cross that line over and over to get my fix.

Because one night could never be enough with this man.

Several hours later, the intercom buzzes.

“So, what’s the plan here?” Jake asks, getting up from the couch where we’ve been sitting with our legs tangled together.

We’ve been so wrapped up in our little world that we haven’t discussed what this change in our friendship is outside of this apartment, and I regard him thoughtfully while he walks towards the intercom.

“I don’t want you to think I’m hiding anything, but… could we not tell anyone… not yet, anyway? It’s just… Morgan has been such a pain in the ass about our friendship, and you said Chris has been weird too. I don’t want to deal with all of that…”

Jake has his hand on the intercom receiver while he looks at me, and I worry I’ve hurt him when a look I can’t quite read runs over his face. The intercom buzzes again, and he picks up the receiver.

“Hey guys, come on up, it’s open,” he says before putting it back down and facing me. “OK. We won’t say anything to them… but I don’t like feeling like I’m doing something wrong.”

“We’re not doing anything wrong. But as far as I’m concerned, our arrangement is no one else’s business but ours,” I say, getting up and moving to stand before him.

He leans back against the end of the kitchen bench and crosses his arms while he studies my face for a moment. I place my hands on his hips, and he sighs, cupping my face with both hands. Then he leans forward to kiss me softly.

“Fine. But I’m going to have trouble keeping my hands off you, just a heads up,” he says, and I step back with a grin.

“Likewise, JJ.”

My sister bursts in the door, chattering away to Annelisa, who follows close behind, and I jump back further while Jake straightens and clears his throat.

“Hey!” Morgan says, smiling at us both.

Annelisa looks at us curiously, and I’m pretty sure she saw me jump out of Jake’s reach. Chris and Will walk through the door next, and Maddie starts running around to each of our guests for attention.

“Hey guys, we brought food and drinks.” Will holds up some takeaway bags, and Jake moves to take them from him.

“Thanks. What are we eating?” he asks, peeking into the bags.

“Indian food. Got some of all the usual stuff,” Will replies, and I follow Jake into the kitchen to get out plates and cutlery.
