I knew he’d be pouting. I expected no less of him, but this was frustrating, a mess I didn’t want to deal with. At least it’d keep him entertained and out of the way.
“Well, I guess we should enjoy her while we can, right, Jules?” Cristian called out, and Julian moved off from the kitchen as I eyed the coffee I’d made for our guest.
“Let her come to terms with her sentence.” I moved for the pantry, knowing she would be hungry if she wasn’t struggling with her hangover. She’d been holding steady, so perhaps she hadn’t gone too hard with my brother.
“Sure, soon enough,” Cristian said.
I turned to find him crouched before Scarlet like a child grinning at a new puppy.
“Wonder how good her head is?” Julian mused as he closed in on her as well.
“I wouldn’t let that mouth anywhere near your dick if you want to keep it,” Cristian snorted before he grabbed her face. “Pussy is fair game though. Did you shower for my brothers?”
I watched her nose scrunch up in disgust, and then her face paled.
“Is the kitten afraid?” Cristian cooed.
“Cristian, she’s—” my warning was cut by her projectile vomiting all over my brother’s bare chest as he reeled backwards.
“You fucking filthy bitch!” he shouted. “Goddammit.”
“Told you she was hungover,” I stated, my mouth curling into a smirk. Served him right for the fuss he’d caused us. “Go wash up.”
He shot a look of daggers at his supposed pet before storming off, and Julian took a few steps back like he believed she’d turn her bile on him.
She had hunched over now, drawing in shaky breaths as her body trembled. Whatever had been fueling her before had waned, and I sighed.
What a mess.
“Let’s get you cleaned up, pet.”
I guided the small woman into my room and steered her to the bathroom, having left Julian with instructions to clean up, whether he did it himself or he got a cleaner in, I didn’t care.
“Shower.” I ordered as I shoved her into the bathroom lightly. “Get yourself sorted. There’ll be something to eat when you come out.”
“Really? Because you’ve all been the pinnacle of kindness so far." Her sarcasm was strained as she leaned on the counter, those unsteady eyes moving to watch me, like she expected me to pounce.
“You’ve gotta feed your pets if you want them to survive,” I said dryly, and she scowled at me. The look was short-lived though as she hurled herself for the toilet, heaving once more.
My lip curled at the scent of sickness in the air.
“Towels are under the sink.” With that, I left her there to deal with her mistakes of last night and come to terms with her future.
I just hoped I wasn’t making a mistake going along with Cristian’s newest escapade.

SCARLET
Idragged myself into the shower, knowing defiance and refusal was futile. It wasn’t just my life on the line anymore.
I shuddered as the water cascaded over me with the harsh reality of it all.
Ray had been stabbed, and Noms was now under their focus.
I was royally fucked up. Sure, I’d done dumb things over the years, danced with the law, but this was beyond the scope of my usual shit-show.
“Fuck my life,” I muttered quietly under the water. One month of servitude for these men. A thought that wrapped around me like a vice, trapping me inside my own skin.
