We’re in a bar. In the VIP room. And here I am, naked, pressed against the wall in his arms.

I don’t know what I expect him to do next but it’s not to grab a stack of napkins from the tray and clean off the cum leaking down my thighs.

Neither is it to hold my leg, look at the faint scars that Nate left behind, and kiss each one.

“Come home with me.” Cillian speaks against the wild haze that is still floating between us.

“Home?”

“My place. I'm not finished with you yet. I need you in my bed. Just say yes.”

“Yes.”

Chapter Sixteen

Cillian

Chloe leans back on her hands and my shirt slides down her shoulder.

She’s wearing nothing but my shirt and it swamps her tiny frame.

She’s sitting on the table next to the wine I brought home from the bar, and I’m on the chair in my joggers watching her.

It’s God knows what time of night—or rather morning—but we’ve been out on the terrace for a few hours, enjoying each other.

Now we’re playing that game again. I steered us toward it on purpose.

As the clock ticks I know this magical dimension we’re in will fade.

We’ve been drinking and fucking. When the sun comes up I know everything will change.

Before it does I want to be sure she’s okay.

I know she’s not and she might not have told me everything, but at least she’s here. Here with me. And my God did I get my fucking fill of her. I devoured every inch of her. And still I want more. It’s like I haven’t had her yet.

Like this, perched on the table like a statue, she looks like a goddess.

“What’s your question, lass?” It’s her turn.

“When are you going back to Ireland?”

“Christmas. I like the winter there. I often go off for weeks on an adventure.”

“What kind of adventure?” Her eyes sparkle.

“Any. Last time I climbed Mount Carrauntoohil and went camping for a few days.” That was before Virgo found Olivia.

“That sounds exciting.”

“It is. My turn now.”

She pours herself a drink and sips on it. “Ready.”

“I liked watching you dance. You looked amazing.”

“Thank you. Did you see me almost fall over?”

“Yeah.” I saw the moment the pain took her. “But you were smiling. Why were you smiling?”
