“Dude, I know all this. I don’t need reminding. I’m all in. I told you that. I’m not about to go back on my word. You know me, and you know I would never.” Kane looked hurt that I would even feel the need to remind him of that stuff.

“I know. So charm the pants off her, and let’s do this. It’s not like it’s a hardship. Although I didn’t think it possible, she’s even hotter than she was back in the day. She’s crazy gorgeous.”

“Dude, you don’t need to tell me. I have twenty-twenty vision.” We fell silent as Rose returned to the table.

“Subtle. Very subtle, guys. You were talking about me, weren’t you?” She set her glass of wine down.

“You got us. Guilty as charged.” I put my hands up in mock-surrender.

“And?”

“And what?”

“Don’t be coy. What were you saying?” She sat down, and picked up her drink, taking a big gulp, while still looking at us both.

I shot a questioning glance Kane’s way. He shrugged, then looked down at the table. Jesus, he was being weird.

“We were talking about the fact that we like you.”

“You can’t like me. You only just met me.”

“We’re getting to know each other.” Kane’s tone was sharp.

“True.” She spoke directly to me, this time. “But we’ve known each other for like five minutes, and you’ve said all of ten words to me. You don’t know me at all.” If only she had any idea the half of it.

“Okay, let me rephrase that, for the avoidance of doubt. We want you. In the biblical sense. Both of us.”

She sipped on her wine, slowly this time. “Interesting. What exactly did you have in mind?”

Chapter 15

Rose

“So you live here together?”

“Yeah. Technically, it’s two separate but interconnected suites, but we took the door off that separates them and use it like one space.”

“Privacy’s not an issue?”

“Not really. We still have separate bedrooms. His is that way, mine, that way.” Kane motioned with his chin in the direction of each room.

“But besides that, there are no secrets between us, so the door just kind of seemed pointless, you know?” I couldn’t say I did. I’d never been that close to anybody. I shrugged.

“So you’ve done this before?” I could hear the hesitation in my own voice.

“A three-way?”

They glanced at each other, exchanging a look which told me that they had.

“Yeah. You could say that.” Fox was the one to answer in words.

“Could I? What would you say?”

“I’d say that nothing else needs to be said.” The look on his face spoke volumes, so in a roundabout way, he was right.

He moved in front of me at a dizzying speed, and before I could ask him to elaborate, his mouth was on mine, pressing with an urgency I’d never experienced with anyone else, except Kane a few days earlier. The heat of his kiss sent missiles of lust tearing through my body, and straight to their intended target. When his arm snaked behind me, and pulled me to him possessively, I was done for.

“Have you ever done this before?” Kane’s voice behind me in my ear startled me a little. I shook my head. “That’s cool. We got you. Turn around, I want to taste you.” I hesitated, not wanting to break the kiss with Fox, it felt so good, and the heat and intensity were rocking me to my core. But when Fox’s hand slipped down to my hip, then was joined by a second, both gently urging me to turn, I did.
