Page 71 of My Five Daddies

“So what do we do?” I askher.

“We have to controlhim.”

All five of us look at her, but I’m the only onesmiling.

I saw it as soon as we started discussing what to do. Chris and Jordan instantly wanted to get rid of Dustin, cut him loose, be done with him. Hunter and Will were more hesitant, mainly because they didn’t see what happened. I want another way, a third way that can be beneficial for all ofus.

But I couldn’t suggest it. What I want to do is way too dangerous and it would throw Tori back into harm’s way. I couldn’t ask that ofher.

Unless she comes up with itherself.

“How?” Hunter asks. “We’ve been trying. And he’s akid.”

“We blackmail him,” Tori says. “Let me go see him again, rile him up a little. When he comes after me again, which he will, I’ll have a recorder on me. Get it all down on tape. So when he wants to step out of line, we threaten to destroyhim.”

The guys stare at her shocked, but my smile getsbigger.

“It’s the best solution,” I say. “Although it’s the mostdangerous.”

“He’s a kid,” Chris says softly. “You want to blackmail a fuckingkid?”

“He’s a psycho,” Jordan shoots back. “He lost his kid status as soon as he came at Tori likethat.”

“Kid or not, this is serious,” Will says. “We blackmail him and then what, we ownhim?”

“More or less,” Tori says. “Use it sparingly. Keep him from doing anything too bad. But watch himclosely.”

“Can we do that?” Hunter asks. “I mean, seriously. This is fucked up, even forus.”

“The kid’s fucked up,” I say. “If we just cut him loose, he’s going to do something like thisagain.”

“You’re talking like he’s a serial killer,” Will sayssoftly.

I stare at him for a second. “I think he could be,” I say finally. “I mean, he definitely has violent and controllingtendencies.”

“Jesus,” Will says, shaking his head. “This isinsane.”

“How could we control someone like that then?” Chrisasks.

“Threaten him with whatever I get at first,” Tori says. “From there, I don’tknow.”

“No,” Jordan says. “Absolutely not. I won’t put you in anydanger.”

“I agree,” Chris says. “I won’t doit.”

“Guys—“ Tori starts, but gets cutoff.

“We have to just get rid of Dustin,” Hunter insists. “We can’t riskTori.”

“Agreed,” Will adds. “I won’t risk Tori. It’s a shame, but there itis.”

I frown at them. “Let her speak,” Isay.

Tori nods at me gratefully. “You guys have done a lot for me. I feel like I’m responsible for Dustin, at least a little bit. I think I can control him, now that I’m starting to understand what he is. I want to doit.”

The guys look at her and I know they’re about to argue. “I think it’s a good idea,” Isay.

Jordan looks at me like I’m insane. “You’re notserious.”
