He shrugs. “It’s pretty nice, but I prefer the conference room. At least when it’s not inuse.”

“Why are you and Hunter always in theretogether?”

“We’re used to working as a team,” he says. “When we first started the label, we tried working in our own offices, but found we’d always end up in the same room anyway. Now we just work out of the conference room whenever wecan.”

“Why not get a shared office for the two of you?” I ask. “That way you never have to get kicked out when people havemeetings.”

He raises an eyebrow. “Good point. Never really thought about that, Iguess.”

I laugh a little bit as we stop outside of a door at the end of the hall. “Sorry, I don’t mean to blow your spotup.”

“No, it’s a good idea. Anyway, here we are.” He opens the door and we stepinside.

His office is surprisingly big, easily big enough for two people. His desk is back by the far wall, near the huge floor-length windows. To the right is a couch against the near wall with a little coffee table, a couple of comfortable looking chairs, and finally another larger table with chairs set around it. Chris and Jordan are sitting at the table, papers spread out in front ofthem.

“Look who I found,” Willsays.

Chris and Jordan both look up, and I savor the surprise on their faces. Jordan just lights up when he sees me, and Chris looks sly andcalm.

“I heard you guys were working late,” Isay.

“She was busy at her desk,” Will adds. “A modelemployee.”

“Always working too hard,” Jordan says, laughing. “Spending all your time with Dustin and now in thisoffice.”

“Can’t help herself. Wants to be near me.” Will grins athim.

Chris leans back in his chair, one arm casually over the back of the chair next to him. “I don’t know about you guys, but I’m not going to complain about her workethic.”

“Oh, no doubt.” Will steps further into his office. He walks over to a little tray on top of a table and I realize that it’s a tiny bar, like in the showMad Men. He pours himself a drink and offers meone.

I take it, a little glass of whisky, tonic, and ice. I sip the drink as Will sits down on thecouch.

Chris eyes me with a smirk. “Get much done today?” he asksme.

I shrug. “I always finish what I start. Can’t helpmyself.”

His smirk turns into a grin. “I bet youdo.”

“Is that innuendo?” Jordanasks.

“Absolutely it is.” Chris stands up and walks toward me. “You know guys, I could really use abreak.”

“I’m already taking one,” Will says from thecouch.

“He’s right though,” Jordan says. “We’ve been busy for hoursnow.”

“I could really use some distraction.” Chris stops in front of me and tips my chin up toward him. “What do you think, Tori? Do we work toohard?”

I nod a little bit. “You definitelydo.”

“You’re right. But how are we going torelax?”

Will laughs. “Just tell the girl to strip and get on withit.”

My eyes widen a little bit. Chris grins at me. “Is he right, Tori? Should I just tell you tostrip?”

“I don’t know,” Isay.
