He growled and thrust harder, faster. “I want to come deep inside you. I want you mine and nobody else’s.”
She curved her back, plastering to his front. “Please…Roarke…”
“Tell me you want that. Tell me you want to have my babies.”
“Yes, yes!”
She couldn’t have expected that those two words would unleash the animal in him. His thrusts lost all control. He increased the pace to an unreal speed. Her lungs burned trying to get air in them.
She inhaled sharply before her world broke. Pleasure swept through her in a wave of electric release. She screamed, her body gripping and clenching around his length.
He growled by her ear. His thrusts slowing. “You’re mine!”
His claw on her hip scraped at her flesh, leaving trails of fire. The sharp sting of the scratches only added to the wave of pleasure rolling through her.She continued to ride her release. Blood rushed to her head. He growled again, signaling his release. It was so powerful that it sent a new set of vibrations down her body. His cock throbbed inside her, his warmth coating her insides.
She leaned her head back. “You’re mine now, sweetheart.”
She smiled. “As long as you’re mine too, panther-man.”
“Forever and always.”
She smiled at his words. Forever and always with Roarke was exactly what she’d been dreaming of her whole life.
EPILOGUE
Daisy stretched out on the soft, white sand, the warm Caribbean sun caressing her skin like a gentle lover. The sound of the turquoise waves lapping against the shore lulled her into a state of blissful relaxation, and she sighed contentedly.
Beside her, Roarke lay on his own beach towel, his muscular form glistening with a light sheen of sweat. He turned his head to gaze at her, his dark eyes filled with love and adoration.
“Happy, Mrs. Easton?” he murmured, his voice low and husky.
Daisy’s heart skipped a beat at the sound of her new name, a thrill of joy racing through her veins. She rolled onto her side, propping herself up on one elbow to better look at her husband.
“Deliriously so, Mr. Easton,” she replied, her tone playful and light. “I still can’t believe we’re actually here on our honeymoon. It feels like a dream.”
Roarke reached out, his fingers tracing the delicate curve of her cheek. “If it is a dream, then I never want to wake up,” he whispered, his gaze intense and filled with promise.
Daisy leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering closed as she savored the feeling of his skin against hers. “Me neither,” she breathed, her voice barely audible over the gentle roar of the ocean.
They lay there for a long moment, content simply to bask in each other’s presence. The sun overhead began its slow descent toward the horizon.
Finally, Daisy sat up, brushing the sand from her sun-warmed skin. “What do you say we take a walk along the beach?” she suggested, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. “I want to explore every inch of this paradise with you.”
Roarke grinned, his teeth flashing white against his tanned face. “I thought you’d never ask,” he replied, rising to his feet and holding out his hand to her.
Hand in hand, they set off down the beach, the soft sand yielding beneath their bare feet. The gentle breeze played with Daisy’s hair, lifting the pink strands and sending them dancing around her face.
As they walked, they talked and laughed, sharing their hopes and dreams for the future. Daisy told Roarke of her plans to expand the Phantasm Pharmacy, to create a line of potions and elixirs that could help people all over the world.
“I want to use my magic for good,” she explained, her voice filled with passion. “To make a difference in people’s lives, no matter how small.”
Roarke squeezed her hand, his expression one of pride and admiration. “You already do, Daisy,” he replied, his voice soft and sincere. “Every day, just by being you. Your kindness, your compassion, your unwavering belief in the goodness of others - it’s a magic all its own.”
Daisy’s vision swam, overwhelmed by the depth of his love and support. She stopped walking, turning to face him fully.
“I couldn’t do any of it without you, Roarke,” she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. “You’re my rock, my partner, my everything. I didn’t realize how lonely my life was until I met you. I love you so much.”
Roarke pulled her into his arms, holding her close against his chest. “I love you too, Daisy,” he murmured, his breath warm against her ear. “More than I ever thought possible.”
