“Oh, fuck, baby. You just ate my knot up like it was nothing. Fuck, you feel so good. Keep going—keep going, baby. Just like that, god, you feel so good. So fucking good. Fuck, I’m gonna come. Oh, fuck.” Liam thrust up inside of me, his whole body tensing as spurts of his cum hit the back of me, making me shiver.

Cas’s deep growl told me he was coming too, his groan so fucking delicious I damn near came again just from the sound of it.

Soft kisses on my neck and rough hands caressing my back soothed me just as much as the sex had soothed Liam. I could feel their anxiety and fear melting away as the post-orgasm bliss settled in their brains.

All my life I’d been defective. I couldn’t give alphas what they needed even if I wanted to, but now I had two very powerful, very strong alphas relying on me. Not only did they rely on me, but I was able to give them what they needed.

I wasn’t defective anymore. I was powerful – strong. Just like my alphas. I was the only one who could give them what they needed and I didn’t think I was ever going to get enough of that.

CHAPTER 23

Cas

Rolling the spinach and feta omelet, I grabbed my chef’s knife and sliced it into small, bite-sized pieces like a sushi roll but even smaller. I carefully plated the omelet and sprinkled more feta on the top along with a pinch of diced spinach.

It looked nice.

After I set the plate on a pink tray, I peeled an orange, split it open and placed it in a small bowl to look like a lotus flower.

Wiping off the knife, I started cutting up strawberries and placed them on top of the orange. Then I set the bowl on the plate and grabbed a set of chopsticks and a fork. Liam preferred chopsticks when I made omelets like this, but I didn’t know what Lucy would prefer.

Not yet, but soon I’d know all her preferences, down to the smallest detail.

One thing I did know for sure, though, was my omega did not like waking up early, but she’d gotten up hours before us and I still didn’t know how she managed it without waking up either of us.

Before the bond, I would have panicked that she’d run off but when I woke up, I could feel exactly how far away she was.

Lucy had insisted on staying up until three in the morning to make sure her programs did what they were supposed to do. Once she saw the file was sent to her encrypted drive, she’d passed out and slept like the dead.

For the best, honestly. All this chaos and change was wearing her out.

I grabbed the freshly brewed coffee and placed the glass mug on the pink tray. It had cute little cat paws on the bottom with pink pads. For someone with such a dark aesthetic, Lucy loved cute shit in pinks and purples.

Which was why she loved that stupid car even if it did make heads turn.

Maybe I should take her on a ride. A purple motorcycle in the same color with cat ears on her helmet would be fucking adorable.

I poured the butter pecan coffee creamer she liked into a small glass creamer pitcher and placed that on the tray as well. It matched the cup but the handle was a tail. I’d found it at this weird store in Chinatown a few days ago while shopping for whatever I thought Lucy might like to have in the house…

Liam was never going to stop teasing me about that either. Kept telling me I was nesting harder than an omega, and I’d be pissed about it but he wasn’t wrong.

A glass of water went on the tray next with a little sauce dish that had all the vitamins the traditional Chinese medicine practitioner swore by. A little spoon that looked like something someone would use to sniff cocaine had red ginseng on it and I grabbed the receipt for the vitamins, placing it under the sauce dish so she’d know I wasn’t drugging her.

Lucy didn’t take very good care of herself. She never ate enough and barely ever slept. Dr. Humphries kept insisting she was healthy, but he also said this shit wouldn’t hurt her either. So, she was going to fucking take it so I’d stop worrying already.

Taking the tray into the office where she’d been working for the last three hours, I was glad to see she liked the desk we’d gotten for her. I’d even made sure she had everything they had in the cybercrime department and then some.

Most of it came in yesterday so we spent all night setting it up while we waited for the data packet to be sent out.

Ordering stuff on the internet was too fucking easy. I really needed to stop buying shit already, but all I could think about was that I should have gotten her a purple office chair instead of the pink one.

Lucy popped up on her toes to reach something at the top of her conspiracy board, taping a pink string to Gideon’s picture. She attached the other side to Melinda’s picture and that’s when I realized just how many colors of string she had.

Did the color have significance, or no?

I placed the tray on the empty side of her U-shaped desk and openly admired the curve of her ass peeking out from the bottom of her pajama shorts – pink axolotls with little purple witch hats on their heads.

If those damn things didn’t fit her waist so perfectly, I’d say they were too small but her ass was just that big, tapering down into her thick thighs…
