Lux: Who are you, Taylor Swift?

I laugh at her question.

Me: No, but she’s got style!

My phone instantaneously rings. I knew she’d call.

“You’re kidding, right?” she squeals before I can say anything.

“Sort of. I don’t think I have anything for this kind of place.” Anything designer I might have is because my men have bought it, or I’ve found it at a discount store.

“I’ll meet you at your place in thirty. I know for a fact they included a ton of stunning dresses in that shopping haul a few weeks ago.” I hear her apartment door slam shut and the keys jiggle in the lock.

“Uh, okay, I guess.” My nerves are through the roof now. “See you soon.” She’s already hung up.

Getting up, I go into my men’s office to find them both staring at me with slick grins on their faces. If I didn’t know better, I’d say they called Lux long before I even knew about our date. “Lux wants to help me pick out an outfit for tonight.”

“Take Jeremy with you,” Tucker tells me. He’s my personal bodyguard—a guy from the Green Berets and some super-secret soldier organization or something.

“Don’t try and sneak away from him, either.” Tanner narrows his eyes on me. I only did it once; I needed the ladies' room and didn’t want to have to tell anyone.

“Fine.” I roll my eyes, and Tucker is on his feet.

My entire body buzzes with anticipation. I’ve grown addicted to the way they swat my ass when I act bratty or back-talk them. I find that I’ve been doing it more often than not lately because I like getting both of them all worked up. Sometimes, by the time we get home, they’re so feral to fuck me that I’ve orgasmed at least four times before either, or both at the same time, are inside me.

Sliding his hand up my back from my ass, Tucker grips the ponytail I’ve had my hair in all day and tugs until I look at him. “You getting mouthy with us?” The growl in his voice makes me squirm.

“I think she is.” Tanner brushes his fingers along the front of my body until his hand wraps firmly around my throat. I melt into their bodies at the contact. They’re so gentle with me but commanding enough that my body lights up for them.

“Tonight, this ass is getting fucked twice,” Tucker warns as he gives me a swat on each cheek, allowing the sting to linger instead of rubbing it away like he usually does.

“Twice?” I whimper. I can normally only handle once.

Leaning forward, his lips hover over mine. “Twice,” he confirms, and I shiver so hard I nearly lose my balance. Tanner catches me and drags me into his body, sucking on my neck, and I know he’s left a mark when he pulls back with a huge grin on his face.

“Be good, and you know we’ll take excellent care of you. See you at seven.” They abruptly release me, and I fight to catch my breath as I rush out of their office.

“Jeremy.” The sneaky man waits for me at the elevator with my purse and phone in each hand.

“Ma’am.” The bell dings, and he holds the door for me before following me inside and handing me my things.

“How are you today?” he grunts. Jeremy is not what I would call communicative. He indulges me about once a week, but today is clearly not that day. “Just going across the street to get ready for dinner tonight,” I tell him, even though I’m sure he knows.

Leading me off the elevator, he opens every door for me. Walking beside me but two steps ahead, his head constantly moves around, scoping for a threat. As we stop and wait for the light to change, I notice my sister’s cab pull up in front of our building. She rushes inside and waits in the lobby.

As soon as the light changes, we move and are quickly inside, where I find Lux flirting with the doorman. He is like fifty and happily married, but she and I love hearing about his kids and grandkids, so he indulges us.

With a wave, Lux leaves him and joins us. She stares at Jeremy as he blocks both of us from street view. “You know, you can be civil and protect.” He merely grunts at her as well.

“Today is not a talking day,” I inform her with a smile as we board the elevator.

“Is it ever?” she whispers, and I notice the man’s lips twitch before giving us his back.

I shrug and let it go. Jeremy is doing what the twins have paid him to, and that’s all we can ask of the man. A thought occurs to me, however. “Jeremy, if they’re sending a car, who’s driving since you’re with me?” I know he won’t leave my side. Well, the apartment, at least, since he’s banned from our bedroom other than to do a quick check to ensure no one is in there and a sweep for cameras.

“A friend” is the only information he provides. It will have to be good enough because I know I won’t get anything else.

We wait patiently inside the door of the penthouse for Jeremy to do his search, which, thankfully, only takes about ten minutes. He starts with the bedroom first, and after clearing it, he allows us to enter before he moves to every other room and continues on. From experience, I know he’ll probably do it twice before he settles in one of the chairs and flips through various security cameras linked to this building and the one across the street. He’ll then move into digging further into my background and the twins. Jeremy is more than determined to figure out who tried to kill me.
