“Tell me what you’re trying to say, Isabelle.”
They stand beside each other, facing me expectantly, and it spurs little explosions of energy across my body.
They’re really mine, and after tonight it’ll be final.
“I came prepared.”
“For?”
“The three of you.”
The guys exchanged confused glances. I swear, men are so dumb.
“Say it again like I’m an idiot,” Mason says.
“You are an idiot.”
“And I’ll remain that way unless you tell us what the hell is going on.”
“I planned to be with all of you and wanted to make that as easy as possible, so there might be a toy in a certain place that needs a warm-up.”
The guys collectively stiffen, and I smile wide at the reaction. Mason starts pacing around the kitchen.
“Alright, alright, before things get out of control, let’s make sure everyone understands what we’re doing,” Trick says.
Mason stands against the wall and starts beating the back of his head against it. The three of us bust out laughing.
“Mase and I will bite you,” Trick says.
I nod eagerly. “And I’ll bite all three of you.”
“The Admin is going to examine you,” Vin says. “Are you okay with that?”
“All the more reason to make it convincing.”
“The bond is permanent. Are you sure?” Trick asks.
“Yes.”
I say it too quickly and he frowns.
My lead alpha looms over me sitting on the countertop. He plants those wide palms on the surface around me and tilts his head to give me that signature don’t give me any shit right now jaw flex.
“You’re sure about this?” he asks, his voice low. “What if something happens again? What if... What if I let you down?”
Without hesitation, I wrap my arms around him. The sudden change surprises him, and it takes him a moment to envelop me in the hug.
“Then you’re just going to have to make it up to me again. You’re a good man, Patrick Wyatt.”
“And you’re not alone anymore,” Vin adds.
“This is our pack,” Mason agrees.
Trick kisses the top of my head and says the words that prove precisely how much my life has changed.
“When we bond, you’ll be pack. It’s the exact relationship you were avoiding when we started this whole charade. Are you sure you want it, this, with us?”
If he’d asked a month ago, I’d have paused.
