“I’m sorry,” she wiped her nose on the back of her arm, and she never looked more beautiful to me.

My tongue was sandpaper in my mouth. My lips cracked as they stretched into what I hoped was a smile.

“You probably desperately need some of this,” she quickly thrusted a cup of cold water to me that I sucked down immediately. The cooling sensation reached all the way down to my empty stomach settling there.

I let out a sigh and laid back against the pillows admiring the woman I would do anything for.

“Chase,” her voice floated towards me. I made eye contact with her all of a sudden feeling exhausted, simply just leaning up in the hospital bed wore me out.

“I love you.”

CHASE

Three months later

The chill of fall was turning into winter. Emma walked beside me as she stood bundled up looking adorable in her puffer jacket. She was my entire heart.

“The city is beautiful,” she said quietly, wrapping her jacket around her little body tighter as wind whipped through our clothing, “I sure am gonna miss it here.”

I nodded, admiring how gorgeous she looked.

Her cheeks were red, her hair whipped around her face in a mane of chocolate brown, her hazel eyes gazed out across the rivers, looking at Point State Park. The place where we had our first official date all those months ago. It was like a lifetime had happened since then, but I wouldn’t change a thing since it all brought me to that moment with my sweet kitten.

The Robert Clemente bridge was barren of people that day, the strong winds even more powerful standing on the pedestrian side of the bridge as Pittsburgh traffic whipped by us. Emma placed her hands on the railing and watched the Duquesne incline slowly make its way up its tracks.

“Do you remember taking me on that?” she turned towards me, a subtle blush creeping across the bridge of her nose. She was trembling as she gazed up at me, her eyes full of lust.

I nodded, wrapping my arms around her, enveloping her in my body heat. “I remember you taking my cock in front of all those people.” The memory was a sweet one. She wore a skirt and no panties to tease me. That plan backfired when I pulled her onto my lap and stuffed my cock in her little pussy.

“Too bad,” she sighed leaning her weight into me, “we can’t leave the city with a bang and do it here.”

She was right about that, it was too open. Though, I’m sure the families that were in the trolley car with us were forever changed. Her arousal filled it, her breathy little pants gave away exactly what we were doing.

I fucking loved marking her in front of all those people.

“There will be many more cities,” I whispered, reaching into my pocket for the reason I'd brought her here, “more places for you to take my cock.” I pulled out the lock and key in the shape of a heart.

“Wait,” she said, her eyes widening as she took in what was in my hands, “you brought me here to put a lock on the bridge?” Her big eyes filled with tears as she threw herself into my arms, “I love you so much.”

I snuggled her in my arms, the soreness in my bicep had faded immensely with physical therapy, “I love you more than life kitten.” I inhaled the sweet scent of her shampoo as I set her down on her own two feet again.

This bridge connected the two sides across the rivers near the baseball field where the Pirates played, it spanned the Allegheny River. Emma didn’t know, but this was my favorite spot to stand and watch her. I felt like her savior back then, and now I knew that was exactly my purpose. The bridge was riddled with locks of couples who “locked in their love forever” throwing away the key into the raging three rivers.

I always dreamed of the day I could bring her here and do the same, so even though we weren’t going to be here much longer, I had to make sure this was the one thing we experienced together.

She was the love of my life, and I couldn’t wait to hurl this key into the rivers. It would never be found again. The lock would never be removed. Staying in place throughout time, unyielding.

Just like my love for her.

“Pick any spot you’d like, kitten,” I placed my hand on the small of her back, motioning her towards the barrier of the bridge. All signs of other life, the traffic, the occasional pedestrians crossing, all faded into the background until they disappeared. It was like a spotlight had been shone on Emma, she was the only thing I could see.

Her nose bunched as she carefully ran her fingers along the bridge, searching for a good spot between all the other locks when she finally located it.

“I want to put it here,” she turned back to me, her eyes wide with excitement. Her pupils dilated as she looked at me, “It’s the perfect spot.”

Anything she wanted was perfect for me.
