But, shit, we wanted more than that. We’d wanted more for a long time, but it’d gotten worse in the last year, after our dad had passed.
That night was supposed to be meant for distraction. And we’d found it alright, but not the distraction we’d been looking for. We were all bored of it, but maybe we’d gone that night to find something — however fleeting and fake — to take our minds off things.
What we’d found was Emma. Fire-haired, green-eyed, sassy, bold, quick-witted, gorgeous, sexy asfuckEmma. I didn’t know who she was, or how the hell she’d managed to get to the damn club without an invitation. I mean, that in itself was pretty damn impressive.
But whoever she was, she had mehooked. She had all of us hooked actually. I knew my brothers well enough to see it. We couldn’t keep our eyes off of her. We hung on her words. We were practically drooling as we watched her ass in that tiny dress climbing up the staircase. Straight up to an empty bedroom.
She shivered when the door closed behind us.
“I—” her words caught, her eyes darting to each of us.
She was nervous. And I mean, she should’ve been — therewerethree of us and she was probably realizing that she really didn’t know us at all. Hell, we were still wearingmasksfor Christ’s sake.
“You’re scared,” I said quietly.
“No,” she shook her head. “No, I’m just—”
“It’s okay if you’re scared. Actually it’d be weird if youweren’tnervous right now.”
She grinned.
“So, what happens now?” she whispered.
“What do youwantto happen now,” Joaquin purred.
“I— I’m not sure.”
“Why’d you come here tonight, Emma?” Landon growled, moving towards her in the low light of the room.
She bit her lip, thinking it through.
“I was curious.”
“About?”
“What this place was.”
“Would you like some answers to those questions?” I said lowly, also moving closer to her.
”Yes.”
My lips found hers, and I kissed her slowly, letting her open her mouth for me. I pulled her up into my arms, loving the way I could just wrap her in myself as I turned and moved us into the room. We all moved to a sofa that sat in front of a gas-lit fireplace with a thick, lush rug on the floor.
I pushed her gently back across the sofa. Landon moved to the fireplace, turning it on and bathing the room in an orange, flickering glow. God, her hair looked like actual flame, and it only made me want to claim her even more.
Joaquin and I joined her on the sofa, Landon pulling a huge, wing-backed chair over and sitting in it, his eyes flashing hungrily. I knew what he was doing. Emma was clearly new to all this. The club, yes, but also losing herself in multiple men at once. Having all three of us attack her at once would probably be too much, and would push her past feeling sexy and into feeling overwhelmed by it all. So, he was going to let Joaquin and I go first, before him.
See, I told you we could practically read each other’s damn minds.
I pulled her into my lap, kissing her hungrily and growling into her lips. She moaned, shivering as my hands moved up her thighs, pushing that tiny dress higher until her hands suddenly dropped to her lap, clutching at the hem of it.
“Let go,” I whispered, kissing her softly. “Or say no. Say no right now and this whole thing ends, I promise you. And we’ll take you out of here and wherever you want to go, and that’s that. But say yes?”
I kissed her, claiming that sweet mouth with mine.
“Say yes and we’re going to show you things you’ve only thought about in your darkest, dirtiest fantasies.”
“Yes or no, baby girl,” Joaquin whispered darkly into her ear.
