One day when I grew up, I’d learn how to walk in them and not kill myself, but I wasn’t ready to be a grown-up yet.
“I’m not telling you yet…and I’m not sure I said anything about buying you something.” His teasing, sing-songy tone had me starting to worry.
“Master Silas? Is he teasing me?” Aiming a sad, wide-eyed look at Silas, I pouted. “I’ve been a good boy. Uncle Jarrett said so.”
Kind of.
Silas shook his head but didn’t let me escape. “He’s enjoying driving you crazy but he does have a surprise to talk to you about. But once you hear him out, I’ll let you run off and play whenever you want.”
So Austin had a reward for me but I might not want it?
Ugh.
That was a very Austin thing to do.
“Alright.” Deciding to enjoy being held while I was trapped, I rested my head against him and sighed. “Cuddles.”
Austin snorted but didn’t tell me that I couldn’t snuggle with his Master. “You’re lucky I like you so much.”
He liked me because he was a pain in the ass too.
Silas was back to jerking in silent laughter, but he moved me around so he was holding me like the cute little I was. “There you go.”
“Thank you.” Sticking my thumb in my mouth, because sucking made everything better, I was mostly big by the time we went into Austin’s office, but not really big.
Being a real adult was hard and I didn’t do it unless I had to.
And at the club, I didn’t have to.
Austin said so.
And he couldn’t change the rules just because he was cranky…Silas said so.
“Alright, troublemakers, stalk him in public and not through the cameras.” Austin’s order didn’t make sense until I saw the twins giggling and looking up from the wall of security monitors in Austin’s office.
The omegas grinned even wider and looked naughty, but they didn’t argue as they bounced out of the room.
“They’re a handful.” Austin was serious as he shook his head, but he just made Silas start silently laughing again.
I’d have responded but that would’ve meant taking my thumb out of my mouth and a smart-ass comment wasn’t worth it at that point.
“Alright, privacy.” Sitting down at one end of the couch that ran along another wall, he gestured for Silas to sit down too. “Don’t let him go. He’s a runner.”
Yep.
Mostly because it was fun making Austin crazy.
“He’s not going anywhere.” Silas’s rough tone made it sound like that should be scary, but he gave me a snuggly hug as he sat down and settled me onto his lap. When I was tucked against his chest and he was rubbing my back, he nodded. “We’re ready.”
“Thank you.” Austin’s serious expression made me want to giggle but I wasn’t sure making him more frustrated was the right way to handle the situation.
I still wasn’t sure what my reward was.
Smoothing out his pretty skirt, he crossed one ankle over the other and sat straighter. “Now, the first thing I’m going to do is remind you about how important privacy is.”
Nodding, I didn’t even smile since I knew how seriously he took that.
“Good boy.” Silas patted my back before going back to giving me rubs and snuggly hugs.
