Growing more and more confused, I approach the table. Stainless steel, brand new without a single scratch. Looks almost identical to one of the preparation tables in the bakery. Upon closer inspection, I grow more confident that this is the same model.

The surface is cool beneath my fingers as I lightly touch the metal.

Hearing the door open, I jerk around with the expectation of seeing Jake.

While my expectations are met, I’m surprised to see he isn’t alone. No, he has Rhett and Nicolas with him.

Oh my god. What is happening? Why are the three of them together?

Questions start forming, too many of them to address at once. Then reality hits me all at once and it feels like a punch to the gut.

They want me to choose.

I pushed my luck with Rhett and threw him in the mix. This is what I get for being greedy. To think all three of them would’ve been alright with me moving between them without making up my mind.

How silly of me.

As the door shuts behind them, I try to take a step back and bump into the table.

Struggling to use my voice, my words come out in a cluster. “If this is your way of making me pick–”

I’m not ready to face this dilemma, especially not in front of all three of them. I still need to decide.

I’m not ready to say goodbye to two of them.

Jake’s the first one to approach. Reaching the table, he sets down the bags in his hand and captures my chin. Without a word, he’s pressing his mouth against mine. Like a starved man, he licks deep into my mouth and consumes my gasp.

I don’t know how Rhett or Nicolas is reacting, not when Jake is making it impossible to take in anything that isn’t him.

How am I supposed to take on this panic when he’s so demanding, capturing my lip between his teeth? His probing tongue is demanding my attention, refusing to allow me to voice any more of my worries.

My pulse thumps as he plunges his fingers into my hair. Pulling my head back, he looks down at me unblinking as he leaves me panting.

“What if you didn’t have to choose?” Running his tongue across his lips, he’s suddenly so serious. “What if we want to share?”

I must be growing delirious. There’s no way those words came out of his mouth. Share with all three of them?

My mind goes back to the room I accidentally looked into. The jealousy I felt for the woman, the want to be in her place. Rather than with four men, I wanted these three to appreciate my body like they had hers.

Without getting a response from me, he lifts my body without another word and sits me down on the table. The metal brings goosebumps across my skin. Caressing my cheek, I have the visibility to take in the other two men.

Rhett looks like he’s just left the office. Sleeves rolled up his forearms, he’s lacking his tie. Two buttons below his throat are undone. His cool stare is pointed directly at me. Calm and patient, he waits from afar.

Nicolas looks just as undone with a lack of patience. From the way he moves his weight from one foot to the other, there’s only so long before he moves.

“Eloise.” Repeating my name, Jake draws my attention back to him. “This was my idea, so I get to call first dibs. If you don’t want the three of us to appreciate you as you deserve, then those two are going to sit back and wish they were in my spot.”

Getting a shiver, I struggle to think.

“If you want one of them to join, or both, all you have to do is say the word.” For a brisk moment, his cheeky grin is back. Proud of himself, he grazes his thumb against my lip. “Or, if this is all too much, we’ll take you home.” Leaning forward, his lips graze my forehead. “Whatever you want.”

WhateverIwant. Three sets of hands touching however they please, three men to satisfy. Can I keep up with them?

“What if I disappoint?”

Nicolas is the one to scoff. “You know that won’t happen. You could never disappoint us.”

There’s a promising tone to his voice, strong enough to the point where I want to believe him.
