Reservations? What have I gotten myself into?
“Ah, yes. Here you are.” She turns and fetches a key and a safety deposit box below. “Your phone, please.”
What kind of place doesn’t allow me to carry my phone on me? My expression must give my thoughts away.
“At Club Sin, privacy and the safety of our members is our number one priority. If you are expecting an important call, or need us to mark down any emergency contacts, I am happy to file down such names.” She’s patient and collected, waiting for me to give up the device.
I leave Jake’s name and number, just in case something comes up. For a moment, I debate on leaving Nicolas and Rhett’s. With hesitance, I scrabble them down.
She takes in my handwriting and lifts her gaze for only a moment before her smile grows. “Your device will be safe with us.”
With no other choice, I nod and place my phone in the deposit box marked120.
“Wonderful. Thank you for your cooperation.” Putting the box back where it belongs, she moves around the others to meet my side. “Please, follow me.”
Her heels click with every step and she’s fast. I almost stumble keeping up with her.
The hostess starts listing off rules, flowing each off from memory alone. Throwing a glance over her shoulder to make sure she hasn’t left me behind, her stained lips curl at my confusion.
“This must be your first visit. Please, ask questions if you have any.”
I don’t want to sound ignorant, but the only question on my mind is wondering what this place is.
I just shake my head, my cheeks hot. Despite not asking, I get my answer soon enough.
Walking down a hall with more doors to count, some of the doors are open. Moans flow into the hallway and I make the mistake of looking.
Slowing to a stop, I’m shocked to see this room has a single woman surrounded by four men. Shamelessly, there isn’t an inch of her skin that isn’t covered by hands.
“Feel free to watch if you’d like, Miss Tanner.” The hostess hums as she turns toward me. “Some couples enjoy having an audience. There’s seating inside. I can warn your company if you’d like.”
My heart thumps at the offer. Between watching the way the woman inside curls as a gasp is ripped from her lips to this unspoken sense of jealousy forming at the pit of my stomach, I’m quick to turn away.
This is a sex club. Now I’m starting to understand a bit more. Jake didn’t think explaining this detail would be somewhat important?
Not like it would’ve changed my decision in coming. If I’d known he wanted to go to a place like this, I could’ve done a little more with my appearance. Dressed up a little bit.
Made myself sexier and more appealing.
“We can keep moving.” Leaving the sounds of pleasure behind, I get a shiver as we continue our path. Reaching the door marked120, she unlocks the door.
“We hope you enjoy your stay atClub Sin, Miss Tanner.” Leaving me with the key, she abandons my side to return to her post.
Entering the room with a held breath, silence engulfs me as the door shuts.
While I’m all about experiencing new things, this is a bit much. I need a moment to settle after getting such an eyeful.
Jake’s not here yet as the hostess confirmed earlier. I can’t call to scold him, not without my phone. All I have to do to pass the time while I wait is to take in this room.
The bed against the wall looks welcoming. As I run my fingers across the silk, my toes curl. I’m sure against my bare skin, this fabric will feel incredible.
For only a moment, I take a seat. Now that I know we’re not going to be consumed by a night of dancing, I get comfortable by kicking off my shoes.
The room must be soundproofed when the door is shut. All I can hear are my breaths.
Against the walls are shelves with toys and drawers with trinkets. Now this is fitting for such a room.
What doesn’t make sense is the table in the middle of the room, its surface glowing beneath the lights above. Like a centerpiece, it draws my attention next.
