“Second chance granted!” She yells and flings herself at me.
I meld my lips to hers. I moan when she immediately opens to me. I never thought I’d experience her spicy taste again. I thought I’d lost her forever. But I didn’t. I will spend my life exploring this woman’s mouth and body. My cock twitches in response.
I slow the kiss until I can break away. “Love you, sassy girl.”
She smiles at me. “I love you, too, Gibson.”
“I promise I won’t break your heart again.”
“Good because I have the plot all picked out where I want to bury you if you do.”
I chuckle. This woman will keep me on my toes for the rest of my life. I can’t wait.
“What the hell?” Jett shouts. “What are you doing here?”
I glance over to discover Jett glaring down at Aurora.
“Is this the mysterious Aurora?” Mercy whispers.
I nod.
She steps away and grasps my hand. “Come on. Let’s go be nosy.”
I follow her. I’ll always follow her. Wherever she goes, I go from now on.
Chapter 34
Aurora – a woman who’s about to blow a rockstar’s life apart
Aurora
I sigh as I cross the border into Winter Falls. Despite being the personal assistant of Cash & the Sinners, I haven’t visited the town yet. I prefer to keep away from certain members of the band.
I glance down at my stomach. I guess that ship has sailed now.
I notice the sign for The Inn on Main, the only place to stay in town, and turn left into the parking lot. I’m surprised how few cars there are considering the owner said the only room available was a suite.
Whatever. It doesn’t matter. My boss – Mike the band manager – is paying for the room anyway. I convinced him I need to be in Winter Falls since the band has settled here.
I walk to the entrance of the bed and breakfast. It’s cute. What I’ve seen of the town thus far is cute. I can understand why the band wanted to settle here.
Except Jett. He’s not going to settle anywhere as boring as a small town. His words. Not mine.
I enter through the front door and scan the area. It’s as adorable as the outside. The entry is wide with a small reception desk off to the side. To the other side is an entry into a cozy looking sitting room. In front of me is a small seating area with cookies and coffee.
I eye the cookies and my stomach rumbles in response.
“Help yourself,” the woman at the reception desk says. “I’ll be with you in a minute.”
In that case … I study the cookies. There is a variety. Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and something with nuts. I pick up an oatmeal raisin. Oatmeal is healthy, isn’t it?
I bite into the cookie and moan. Holy cow this is yummy.
The receptionist giggles. “I have the same reaction whenever I eat a cookie from Bake Me Happy.”
“This cookie can bake me happy anytime.”
“I’m Ellery, the owner of The Inn on Main, and you must be Aurora.”
