“I fucking love you Adrien, but we can’t keep doing this,” I said with a groan as he trailed his hand down the front of me, cupping me firmly. “Not when we’ve found our pack. We need to trust them.”

“Argue with me later,” Adrien said, dropping to his knees in the middle of the kitchen. “I need the taste of you on my tongue first.”

I took a staggered step back, my palms finding the counter behind me as he unzipped my jeans and took me out.

He gave me a cocky, knowing look, the dominance in his eyes, even when he was on his knees riling me up further.

Without any further preamble, he wrapped his lips around me, sucking me down like I was his favorite sweet treat.

“Fuck, Ady,” I groaned, my head falling forward as he devoured me with vigor.

After spending the day writing in the cafe there was no way I was going to be able to hold out long, especially not when Adrien knew exactly what buttons to push after being together for a decade.

He hummed around me for a moment, pulling off of me with a wet pop and a confident smirk on his face.

“Tell me, mon chéri, have you tasted the sweet little beta yet?”

I narrowed my eyes, bucking my hips into his hand. “You know I haven’t. Not until he’s met you officially, preferably Claire too.”

His warm hand tightened around my length, stroking me in slow, measured movements that had me on edge. The way he worked my cock was nothing short of masterful.

“If they taste how they smell…” he said, before seeming to catch himself and shake his head. “Merde, what are you doing to me? You make me forget myself.”

His grip on me lessened as he rose to his feet. I could feel him start to pull back again and there was no way I was having that.

I grabbed the back of his head, pulling him in for a searing kiss, not caring about the scrape of his goatee against my skin. I was harsh. Demanding. Needing the taste of him on my tongue as Claire and Riley clung to my skin.

I was going to show him come hell or high water that they were exactly what we’d been waiting for all these years.

Pulling his lips from mine I turned him around, leveraging my height as I wrapped my body around his and pushed him against the kitchen island.

“I won’t let you forget yourself,” I said roughly, placing a kiss to the back of his neck. “I’ll help you remember. Remember who you were before the bullshit with your parents, before the towns and cities turned their noses up at two alphas being together.”

“I don’t want us to go through what we’ve had to in the past. You can’t blame me for wanting to protect you. To protect us,” Adrien countered, bucking his hips back into mine, trying to throw me off.

“I know,” I promised, trailing my hands down his body to the waist of his trousers, undoing them quickly. “It’s one of the things that made me fall in love with you.”

His pants fell to his knees and I pressed myself against him, letting him feel exactly how hard I was. How much I desperately wanted him in this moment.

“Je t’aime,” Adrien said with a groan, professing his love for me. “Let me go, I want to touch you.”

“I’ll never let you go. You had your chance,” I teased him, moving my hand down to grab his knot briefly. “It’s my turn to touch.”

“Please,” he begged, though I wasn’t certain what he was begging for. Mercy? To let him hide away? But it wasn’t truly a protest and we both knew it.

Our entire relationship was a war of dominance. Neither of us were submissive by nature but happily submitted for each other.

But right now? I was in charge. It was the only way to not let him pull away, to show him how serious I was about Claire and Riley. They were the levity to Adrien’s seriousness and if he only opened his eyes, he would see it as well.

“Bedroom, now,” I ordered him. Adrien swallowed hard and I could see the glint of protest in his eyes at being told what to do, but it was quickly replaced by heat as he kicked off his pants the rest of the way and walked away.

My steps were slower, watching his ass as he walked away. Adrien was gorgeous, from his lean but fit torso to the angular frame of his face, to the piercing green eyes that could stare into my soul and see right through me. We had no secrets because we had no reason to hold back on each other, but also because it was impossible to hide our feelings. We knew each other better than we knew ourselves… which was exactly how I was going to unravel this man until he was forced to face the truth.

We needed our pack, and him hiding away wouldn’t make anything change.

Riley and Claire would still be our mates. We couldn’t just ignore them, they were everywhere in this town. And now that I’d truly seen Holiday Hollow, it could be just as much our home as theirs, even Adrien admitted that much.

Finding our place in the world, establishing roots, it’s all we’ve wanted for years.
