I’m acutely aware of my body as Vex takes me to their room. The entire atmosphere here is unreal. It’s so vibrant and colorful. There’s life on every inch of this place, and it feels entirely alive. It’s not like other realms, it’s as if nature is everywhere, connected.
Vex leads with urgency, almost like they crave me as much as I crave them. The distance between us seems far too much. Under my skin resides an itch, an almost aching one that has festered for these two weeks, eating me alive.
When we reach a door, they rush, pulling me in. Their arms engulf me as soon as the door closes, the click signaling our privacy. My skin feels icky, but they don’t seem bothered. Instead of dwelling on it, I inhale their sensual scent. The intoxicating smokiness that comforts me irrevocably.
“I missed you, little dove.”
The way I’ve missed their voice and how it hugs every word before letting it go. “I missed you too, Vex. The fear of never finding you again scared me.” Raevar promised to bring us together, and he essentially did.
Their ring covered fingers cup my jaw, the metal digging in with a familiar bite. Unlike when we parted unexpectedly, their eyes are red-rimmed, the pupils nearly engulfing the amethyst tone of their irises.
“You’re starving.” I grumbled disapprovingly, torn between anger and the realization that they only eat if it’s medically bagged.
“Don't worry about it,” they say, playfully nipping at my jaw. It’s a deflection. Their teeth snag, not breaking skin, but bringing that delicious pain I crave from them.
“We’re talking about this.” I reluctantly pull away, crossing my arms over my chest. It may look immature, but they need to eat and if they don’t, they’ll be in severe pain. If they aren’t already.
They’ve explained the agony not eating puts them in, and the fact that they’re hungry worries me. Have they not been eating because of me going missing? Is this my fault?
Once again, my words bounce back like a table tennis ball as they demand, “Undress.” The need to listen has me reaching at my hem and removing the shirt Raevar gave me days ago. They peer at the lace underneath, probably recognizing the piece they chose for our scene.
I don’t wait for them to direct me to remove it as well. Salaciously, their eyes roam my body with hunger. Not the blood-deep kind either.
Licking their teeth with purpose, they come toward me. With promise in their expression, they uncuff their wrists, then unbutton their shirt. The actions are slow, methodical, like there’s more time in the world than the minutes ticking by too quickly.
The sight of them without a shirt makes me shiver from head to toe. Once again, awe consumes me with the ink all over their skin. It’s beautiful, how it touches every inch, coating them with this air of mystery.
They don’t remove their pants, but lower to their knees. With their gaze locked on me, they waggle their finger, gesturing for me to come to them.
I walk over, hoping to exude sexiness, but my overwhelming desperation causes me to stumble. Their hands cup my wide hips, their black nails digging into my skin as they lick their lips.
“I can’t hold back this time,” they purr, their voice pure sex. There’s nothing sweet or kind, either. Leaning forward, they latch onto the juncture of my thigh.
The moan that leaves me pierces my ears, making my entire body tingle. They suck from me, their desperation clouding the pain with pure pleasure.
My body shudders as an orgasm rips through me. It’s not the first time they’ve not had to touch me before one happens, but it’s definitely the quickest. Their arms band around me as they dig their incisors deeper and I’m so lost to the lust bubbling inside me, I don’t even notice when they release me.
Everything feels high, elevated, like I’m floating and falling at the same time. The hum throughout my entire system doesn’t scare me at all. It only further drives me to this cloudy place that I want to stay in forever.
“Such a good dove, giving me your blood,” they coax, leaving kisses across my skin. When my eyes clear and connect with them, their teeth are dripping with my blood, and my thighs are caked in it too. “You’re extra sweet when you come for me.”
“More,” I nearly beg, my voice not sounding clear at all. Their laughter is rich and filled with humor.
“Not tonight. Don’t need a repeat of our last night together,” they playfully say, teasing me with another nip. The motion sends me into a shuddering frenzy, like my body will combust if they only touch me once more.
“Please, Vex. Touch me.” Again, they let out a humored snort, their eyes dancing with mirth. Before their mouth can connect with the place I’ve been silently begging for, a knock sounds out. “No, no, no, no, no,” I complain. A full whine is the only response I give as they lick their teeth, wiping their mouth with the back of their hands before going to the door. They have the decency to cover themselves with a robe of some sort before opening it. Whether they clean their face or not, their throat and chest have my blood decorating them as little reminders.
I rest on the lounger, legs spread wide, arms resting on either side of me while I wait for the visitor to leave.
“Dulce’s in here,” Vex states before I have the wherewithal to cover up. Heat tickles my cheeks, but I can’t erase the way Raev’s eyes devour me whole.
It’s different than before.
The mood swings come back to me and the pout that must be on my face has the most charming smirk tilting on his lips.
“Miss me?”
I cross my arms, not to cover myself, but to let out a grumble. Then actively avoid him by turning my head away. “No.”
