“Were you watching us?” I glanced at the phone in front of her. The security camera we had facing the driveway was giving her a life feed.

“Maybe.” She shrugged. I moved toward her, holding her waist and pressing her back against my front.

“Mmm...” I groaned. “You taking a page from my playbook?”

“I don’t know, maybe, my sexy stalker,” she teased. Kait turned in my arms, and when her hands cupped my face, she giggled. “You’re all sweaty.” I leaned in and rubbed my face against hers.

“You like it,” I noted. “You like watching me now?” I asked before I kissed her, and her hand clenched the material of my shirt.

“Maybe.” Her lips twitched. “Maybe you should give me a little show later,” she whispered with a wink. My cock started to harden.

“I can do that.” I took her lips with mine, and before I knew it, I heard groans and ewws.

“Uggh, we’re here!” Beau yelled, and Brady laughed.

“Yeah, kitchen is a no-kissing zone,” my youngest added, and I laughed. We pulled apart, but I didn’t move too far from my wife.

“One day, you’ll get it,” I said. They both rolled their eyes.

“Whatever.” “Gross.” They both muttered under their breath.

“Okay, all of you go clean up. Dinner is almost ready.”

“Thanks, Mom.”

“I’ll be right back.”

They hurried away, and she patted my butt.

“You, too, big guy.” She winked.

“Fine.” I leaned in and kissed her. Hard. Making sure I didn’t pull away until she was good and breathless before patting her butt and heading to our bedroom and straight to the bathroom for a quick shower. My eyes caught the frames on the mantle, and I stopped.

Taking a moment to look at snapshots of our past.

Our wedding.

The days Beau and Brady were born.

A picture of the two of us at a surprise party she’d thrown for me.

Right next to it, the first one I’d taken out of my secret room. That first picture of the two of us together smiling at the camera. Two kids who had fallen in love with one another and had no idea that despite the trials and tribulations life tossed at them, they would build a life together.

And what a great fucking life it was.

The love we had for one another was deeper than anything in the world. There wasn’t a thing she didn’t know about me and I about her. There wasn’t a boundary we didn’t breach or a secret we kept from one another.

For better or worse, in the good times and the bad, we had each other. We counted on one another, and fuck me, I was fucking grateful for every single second of it.
