“Rowe…” His lips trail down my neck, sending shivers through me despite the heat radiating from his body.
“No more adventures after this one,” I promise him. “From now on, I’m a homebody.”
“I enjoy being a homebody.” He nips at my collarbone, drawing a gasp from me.
His hands slip beneath my camisole, trailing up my ribs in a way that would tickle if desire wasn’t building between us.
Fisting his hair, I pull his head back up for a heated kiss, our tongues tangling together.
His rough palm covers one breast at the same moment the bathroom door slams open, causing both Haut and me to jump apart like two naughty kids caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
Instead of our host, Tris stands in the doorway, his golden-brown eyes taking in our flushed faces. “I knew it!”
Haut glares at him. “Then leave so we can continue.”
“No can do! Dinner’s ready, and Levi said there’s ice cream!” He bounces on his toes like a puppy eager for a treat.
If he still had a tail, it would be wagging right now.
“Dinner can wait,” Haut growls at him, annoyance clear in his tone. “Can’t you see we’re busy here? Get out.”
Undeterred, Tris folds his arms over his chest. “Yeah, I can see that. But Rowe needs an icepack for her bump, don’t you think? Or are you planning to hump the concussion out of her with your magic knot?”
Haut’s focus jumps from Tris to me, and dismay fills his face, signaling the end of sexy time. “No, you’re right.”
Tris’s brows shoot up, his shock at Haut’s capitulation mirroring mine. “Yes, I am. So sweater on and hands off.”
Tris backs out of the bathroom. “If you’re not out in two minutes, I’m eating every ounce of ice cream in this place.”
Suitably threatened, I reach for my sweater and pull it over my head, then give Haut an apologetic smile. “Ice cream first, then we can pick up where we left off?”
He frowns, then leans down to press a chaste kiss to my lips. “We can hold off until you’re healed. After ice cream, you’re showering and going straight to bed to rest. Everything else can wait for morning.”
“What? No!” I grab his pecs. “I need magic healing wolf shifter sex!”
“Patience is a virtue.” Haut helps me down from the counter, then takes my hand and leads me out of the bathroom. “We can abstain for a few days.”
Is he seriously saying that after getting my panties wet?
I’m going to murder Tris for turning Haut into a caring nursemaid.
MOUNTAIN OF BACON
The sound of snores pulls me from sleep, and since I’m awake now, I’m not the culprit, and I’ve never known Haut to snore.
Eyes opening, I find Tris wedged between me and Haut, looking way too cozy for his own good, with one arm draped over the other man’s face.
When Haut growls, Tris stops snoring and sleepily pats his head. “Shh. Good puppy.”
“How’d you even sneak in here?” Haut grabs Tris’s arm, yanks him across his body, and tosses him off the side of the bed. “Go back to your own room.”
Tris grumbles as he stumbles to his feet, rubbing his half-awake eyes. “That’s a poor thank you for bringing in your luggage.”
“Wait, what?” More awake now, I crawl halfway over Haut before his hand on my ass prevents me from going all the way. I spot our suitcases by the door. “How did our stuff get here?”
“Levi’s people brought it in after you both went to sleep last night.” Tris covers his mouth to mask a yawn. “They didn’t want to disturb your beauty sleep, so they left it out in the hall.”
Haut glowers at him. “So you thought you’d bring it into our room, and then crawl in to join us?”
