I should probably back off but I’m having too much fun. “And if you’re jealous, I think that means you like me,” I sing-song.

There. I said it. The man is free to confirm or deny.

He is uncomfortable. I’ve made the man uncomfortable. And I am totally relishing that.

I never knew I was such a sadist.

“Tyler is jealous,” I whisper in a sing-song voice.

He huffs and takes my hand. “Goddammit. C’mon, let’s go.”

He heads for the exit but I don’t follow. Still holding my hand, he turns back around. “What?”

I throw him a coy smile. “Nothing. I’m coming.”

I wave goodbye to the girls and follow him out, half-dragged like a naughty little kid pulled along by Mom. We get to Tyler’s Escalade in the parking garage, and he throws his stuff in the backseat and guns the engine while I’m putting on my seatbelt.

But he doesn’t put it in gear.

“Are we going?” I ask after a moment.

“Yeah. In a sec.”

Then, he leans across the seat and buries his lips in mine and goddamn, I don’t think I’ve ever been kissed like this.

Correction. I know I’ve never been kissed like this.

He pulls away from me and puts the car in gear, leaving me breathless and shaking.

“We’re going now. I’m taking you home to fuck the shit out of you.”

“That was some pretty hot stuff, our little phone sex thing,” I say while we ride the elevator up to the penthouse.

He responds only by pressing the elevator button about ten times, like we all do when we’re in a hurry, even though we know it won’t do a damn bit of good.

“Mmmm hmmm,” he grumbles.

Damn, he’s wound tight. And I am enjoying the hell out of it.

I back him into a corner and place my hands on either side of his face. “Darlin’, what’s up with you? You’re like a bomb about to explode.”

He looks past me as the elevator doors open, and gestures with his chin that it’s time to exit.

Jesus. What a grump.

I skip into his apartment, right over to the windows with the views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s nighttime, so all I can see are the arching lights of the towers and cables and the headlights of the cars speeding over it.

So freaking beautiful.

I throw my jacket onto the back of a chair. “You know, if I lived here, I’m not sure I’d ever leave. I’d set up my desk right in front of this window and work here all day long. Actually, maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea. I’d be tempted to stare out the window all day instead of doing my work?—”

Tyler grabs me from behind, holding my breasts, and starts to lay feather kisses down the side of my neck. He smells incredible, like plain soap and shampoo since he just showered, and I snuggle back against him into his growing erection.

“Yum. That feels so nice, Tyler,” I murmur.
