Page 13 of Interlude

“Such a good girl taking care of your mates,” he coos behind me, petting me, and I sink into his hold. I’m exhausted, but I’ve never felt so fucking powerful. I’m like a tick that has gorged on its host, and I pity the person who tries to stop my warlock and me from trying to get my grandma.

Our breathing finally settles, and Xavier pulls out of my ass. I feel his cum dribble down the backs of my legs. He helps me disconnect from both guys, and I watch with no short amount of pride when my own cum dribbles out of their holes as they slowly close back up. It’s all filthy and nasty, and I did that.

Link reaches between them, and I see some movement. Cas grunts before he pulls out the cock sleeve Xavier gave them, and then Link rolls off my kraken. Their stomachs glisten with their release, and I climb up onto the bed and lap at each of their cocks, cleaning the mess, before Xavier waves his hand and the four of us are instantly cleaned.

“Thank fuck, I don’t want to move,” Cas mutters, an arm draped across his face. He’s flat on his back, so I snuggle into him, reaching over so I’m also touching Link.

A snore from Link has me stifling a giggle. He rolls over and wraps his arm around Cas’s waist, snuggled into his opposite side.

“You wore the cyborg out, phoeall. That really is an achievement.” Xavier chuckles, his body curling around my side.

“Double cocks for the win.” I hold my hand up, making a fist, and Xavier doesn’t let me down—he reaches around me and bumps it. I drop my arm and wriggle my body so Xavier snuggles even closer. Our sex life is off the fucking charts, but I love this part just as much, knowing that when I wake up, there is always going to be someone I can snuggle with.

“How are your power levels?” Xavier asks as Cas’s eyes flutter shut. I can tell when he falls asleep because his breathing evens out.

“I feel fucking incredible, like there’s a live wire running through my veins, but I’m fucking starving,” I reply.

“For blood?” he asks, and I think about it.

“Yes, but it’s not as urgent as food. I don’t actually remember when I ate last.”

“How about we get up and get you something to eat?” he asks, rolling off me, but I put a hand out to stop him.

“No. Stay here and get some rest. You need it too. I’m going to go get something to eat, and then I’m going to go sleep with the cats. I kind of feel like I need to hang out with all my mates before I do this. I’ve seen Nikos and now you three. I need to check in with them, and I’ll probably use Saxon as a Slurpee tomorrow morning before we leave.”

He frowns at me and reaches up to push a piece of hair behind my ear before drawing a finger across my lips.

“Are you nervous?” he asks, and I shrug, trying to play it off, even though we both know he can feel exactly what’s wrong with me.

I think carefully before I answer. “For the mission? A little, but I’m pretty confident between you, Brannock, and me that we’ll be okay, not to mention our air support dragon, but mostly, I’m worried about making sure all my mates get equal attention and don’t feel left out. I’m feeling pretty fucking guilty because although Skarrians have multi people marriages, I’m pretty sure none of you thought we’d be seven in with another possible two to go.”

“Two or four?” Xavier asks, and I feel another wave of guilt.

I throw my hands into the air. “I don’t fucking know. I would love to say none, but if Tirrian’s dragons truly think I’m his mate, and Silac’s snake says the same, then who am I to deny them?”

“You know Ghosie and Brannock don’t have fated mates,” he counters, and I wince.

“No, but both of them have no females in their race. I’m literally their only option. I can’t say that makes me feel amazing.”

He frowns at my admission. “Lila, don’t be like that. I’m sure that isn’t the reason either of them are attracted to you. I can search their minds if you want. Hell, you could search their minds if you really wanted to know how they feel about you, but you do have the attraction marks already, so I would say their feelings are fairly obvious.”

I sigh and crawl over him, getting off the bed. I look around for my clothes but remember Xavier had poofed them away, so I head into my closet for a robe. Pulling on a big, fat fluffy one, I fasten the belt and return.

“Yes, but I’m worried that once you all get to know me, you’re going to regret what fate has unkindly taken out of your hands. It’s my biggest worry after making sure that Cordy, Cally, and Jack are safe and loved and looked after. While I’m not failing at that yet, I’m not exactly winning a mother of the year award. I’m basically an absent parent with everything that has been going on.”

This conversation got way deeper than I wanted it to. Xavier’s eyes soften with sympathy, and he gets up and comes over to me. Despite all my concerns, when he’s walking toward me with that gorgeous lavender skin on display, I say a little prayer of thanks to whoever blessed me as his intimate. Fuck me, he’s sexy.

One side of his mouth kicks up in amusement. Damn warlock powers. “Lila, honey, you are an amazing mother. Sure, you may not be attached at the hip, but they also have seven fathers to make up for when you can’t be there. They are by no means neglected, and once everything settles down, you will have plenty of time with them.”

I scoff. “I’m about to take over for my grandpas, so I very much doubt there is going to be any downtime. With Link’s predictions, they will age rapidly, and I’m going to blink, and they will be teenagers with all the drama that’s going to come along with that. Fuck me, I don’t envy the girls trying to have relationships. I thought I’d have a good fifteen to sixteen years before I needed to have the sex talk with them, and that’s going to happen so much sooner than I want.” I’m spiraling, and Xavier knows it. He takes my arm and leads me out of my bedroom to the kitchen. There, he helps me into a chair at the island counter and goes over to the replicator, pushing a few buttons. While he’s waiting for that to work, he goes to the fridge and pulls out my favorite drink, popping the top and placing it in front of me.

“Take a deep breath, phoeall. We will deal with everything as it happens. I’m sure you will deal with it with as much grace and patience as you have dealt with all the other major changes in your life over the last couple of months.” The replicator pings, and he goes over and pulls out whatever he prepared for me. I take a sip of my drink, and my eyes slide to his ass. He’s still naked and very distracting. Turning around, he returns and places a big plate of food in front of me. The smells hit my nose, and I just about start drooling. It’s a huge plate of some kind of pasta with garlic bread on the side.

“Eat this and then go snuggle with your kitties. When you wake up, we’ll have a big breakfast, and you can drink from Saxon. By tomorrow evening, we’ll have your grandma, and things will start to look a little better without her rescue hanging over our heads. One step at a time, okay?”

I pick up my fork and wind the fettuccini around the tines before blowing on it and taking a bite. I moan as the flavor of the creamy tomato sauce hits my taste buds. It’s delicious, with a slight kick of chili, the bacon adding a delectable smoky flavor to the perfectly cooked shrimp.

“Oh my god, this is so good,” I mumble as I eat, and Xavier chuckles.
