“Put your jacket on; it's cold outside.” I say as we're passing where Cam's leather jacket is hung.
He grabs it and quickly slides it on before following me out of the front door. I step to the side so Cam can see what's parked outside for him with a massive bow on it, so there's no mistaking it's for him. It's a Harley Dyna just like mine and Flame's; the only difference is that it hasn't been modified yet.
“OH MY GOD!” Cam shouts and drops to his knees on the porch. He's got his hands in front of his mouth in shock.
“Is that seriously for me?” He says from behind his hands. His eyes are huge from shock.
"Yeah, she's all yours. Obviously, you're not big enough to ride her on your own yet, and she isn't customized either.”
He jumps up from the porch and runs to me, engulfing me in a hug, and then pulls back and does the same to Flame, who I've just seen slip his phone away, so I'm guessing he recorded Cam's reaction to his first bike. He's then walking over to get a closer look at his bike.
“Thank you so much. I absolutely love it and can't wait to start working on it with you all. This is the best birthday ever.”
“We're glad you like it, Cam. What do you say your Dad takes you out on it around The Compound before we all go get ready for your party?” Flame asks him, his voice full of pride.
“Yes please. Come on, Dad, show me what she can do.” He's jumping up and down with excitement while standing by his bike.
"Okay, then, let's go.”
I'm excited too; this is his first bike. When you're the President of the MC, that's rather a big deal. I walk over and climb on his bike, and he climbs on behind me with help from Flame, who has brought over Cam's helmet and put it on for him, checking if it's tight enough. Once he's got his arms around my waist, he squeezes me to let me know he's ready to go, so I fire her up and take off. I love that I get to experience something like this with my son.
Chapter Sixteen
Blade
Waking up the other morning on Blaze’s sofa with Sera tucked against me shouldn’t have felt as good as it did. It’s not like we slept in a comfortable position, but I honestly didn’t care. Waking up with her just felt right. I’ve never felt that way about anyone else I’ve woken up next to before, and it just makes me even more certain she’s meant to be mine. As soon as Cam’s party is over, I plan on doing something about it. I want to be with her, and I need to make my move before someone else does. But for now, it’s time to focus on Cam and his first birthday with us.
I think the whole MC might just be gathered in The Common Room, waiting for Cam, Wrath, and Flame to arrive. It's definitely a sight to behold. Flame texted us all that they'd be here shortly; he was just waiting for Cam and Wrath to finish getting ready as they had spent longer out riding Cam's bike than they had originally planned, so we're running late. None of us had an issue as long as Cam was enjoying his day; it's all any of us want because if anyone deserves it, it's him.
I'm currently standing with Wreck and Shadow. Shadow is showing us the video Flame sent him of Cam's reaction when he saw his bike for the first time. It's both beautiful and heartbreaking to watch because, as you can see by his reaction, he's never had anything that means so much given to him before. It clearly means everything to him. As the video finishes, we all look up because we hear the door open, and Cam walks through with Wrath and Flame behind him.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAM!” The whole room shouts, and Cam's eyes grow wide in shock.
I don't think he was expecting so many people to be here. I think the only people missing are Mama June because she's still on her world cruise. She hasn't had the pleasure of meeting Cam yet, but when she does, that boy isn't going to know what hit him. Then Flash and Jake are also missing, Jake due to his injuries, and Flash because there's not a chance in hell he's leaving the side of the man who nearly died to protect him.
We all laugh because his face always shows everything he's feeling; he wears his heart on his sleeve. A lot like his Uncle does. There's a table full of presents for him to open, so Wrath and Flame guide him in that direction. When he gets a look at how many presents he's got, he looks around us all in shock.
“Go on, open them, Cam. They're all for you!” Shadow shouts at him from next to me.
That seems to snap Cam back to it, and he takes a seat and starts opening his presents. It takes him a good hour to open everything on the table and to find each person in the room and thank them for what they brought him before he opens the next present. He's had everything from clothes and shoes to a new phone from Shadow because, according to Shadow, everyone needs the newest phone and more gaming systems than I realized existed.
I notice Sera walking towards Cam once he's finished opening everything and head in their direction because I'm intrigued by what she's got in her hand.
“Hey Cam, I've got one more present here for you, but it's not wrapped. I hope that's okay.” She says as she holds out a piece of paper to him.
“Of course it is Aunt Sera.” He tells her with a smile while he grabs the paper and then flips it over. We all gasp at what is on it.
It's a drawing; she's obviously done, as her name is signed in the corner. It's a detailed sketch of Cam standing in the middle of Wrath and Flame, who have their arms around his shoulders, but she's drawn Cam wearing a kutte with the road name Mini Wrath on it. Oh wow, it looks so fucking good. I didn't realize she could draw, and she's fucking talented. Even I, with not one artistic bone in my body, can tell that.
“This is amazing, Aunt Sera. Thank you so much. I'm going to get a frame and put it up in my room.”
“I'm glad you like it, Cam.” She says with a genuine smile.
“Fucking hell. Is that what you were drawing the other day that you wouldn't let me see? It's fucking amazing. You are seriously talented.” Shadow exclaims.
"Yep, I told you you'd see it eventually, didn’t I?” She says with a smirk.
“That you did.” He then takes a deep breath and nearly deafens us all, shouting, “WRECK!”
