I'm not even surprised by his reaction. I know Flame loves finding someone new to train with, and as long as they have some talent, he doesn't care about their gender. I can honestly say that's one training session I'm going to have to watch. It's going to be a fucking masterclass.

“I'd love to! Just let me know when. If you ever need help training your prospects, you know where to find me.” She tells him with a wink and then walks away.

I spin and watch her walk away, and I can't help thinking I've finally found the perfect woman. I didn't realize women like her even existed. She's rare, and she's mine; she just doesn't know it yet. I can't let her get away; I'll never find someone like her again in this lifetime. That, I'm sure of.

After Sera has walked off in the direction of Blaze's house, we all turn our attention to the little fucker on the floor. Flame walks over and yanks him up to his feet while Wrath forcibly removes his Prospect kutte. Once his kutte is removed, Wrath stands in front of him, pulls his fist back, and punches him in the face. It's a great shot, as Eric's nose immediately starts pouring with blood. Yeah, that's probably broken.

“If it wasn't obvious, you're done here. Your time as a Prospect is over.” Wrath tells him his voice brokering no arguments. His decision is final.

Wrath starts to head back into The Clubhouse and calls out over his shoulder, “He's all yours, brothers. Have fun.”

The members standing around don't need to be told twice and start to beat on Eric, leaving him with a message he's not likely to forget anytime soon. When they've finished, they just pick him up and throw him outside The Compound's gates like the trash he is.

As I go to head back inside, Flame grabs my arm, stopping me.

“What’s up?”

“What do you know, Blade?”

“About?” I ask, even though I have a feeling I know what he’s asking about. Sera.

“Don’t play dumb. Sera. Do you know why she trained herself?”

“I’m pretty sure I know, yeah, but I can’t tell you. It’s her story to tell, man.”

“I get that. I just needed to know she had someone to talk to.”

“She does.”

We start walking inside, side by side.

“By the way, don’t think I missed the way you look at her.”

“Do you blame me?”

“No. She’d be good for you.”

"Oh, I know. She’s mine. Even if she doesn’t know it yet.”

Flame starts laughing at my words. He can find it as funny as he wants; I’m serious. Sera is mine. Fuck anyone who tries to say anything different, and God help Patricia or Sabbatini if they think they can take her from me. It’s been a while since I used my babies, and I’ll happily take my blades to them all to protect Sera.

Chapter Fourteen

Sera

That was fucking amazing. I should’ve realized how much my fighting skills would be appreciated around here. I thought I might be judged for not being the typical woman, but I was so wrong. I couldn't resist getting involved after that fucking Prospect started running his mouth about my brother and Flame. He's one of those fuckers who needs taking down a peg or two, and I was happy to do it; it was a good lesson for him and clearly caused him embarrassment because I'm a woman.

My family all looked at me with pride after they saw a little of what I could do, and I've never had that before. It's such a nice thing to experience. Blade though there wasn't just pride in his eyes; there was heat too. He tried to hide it, but a woman can tell when a guy likes what he's seeing. He definitely liked that I had skills and am more fierce than people expect. It gives me a whole lot of hope that we can be more than just the friends we clearly already are.

I can't wait to train with Flame either; that's going to be amazing, as I've never had a chance to really test my skills against a worthy opponent before, and Flame is definitely a worthy opponent. I could tell by how he moved against Eric; it was like watching live art. I'm relieved none of them asked why I'd trained myself, though. I'm pretty sure Blade has figured out the reason why after our heart-to-heart, but at least my family didn’t start asking questions. I’m not ready to talk about what happened with them yet. I shake off my thoughts about why I learned to fight and make my way back to Dad's house. I need a shower now.

I let myself in the house and make my way upstairs to my bathroom, turning the shower on as soon as I enter the room so it'll be nice and hot when I get in. I quickly strip out of my clothes and let my hair down out of my ponytail. I step under the hot water and feel the tension start to seep out of my body. I love a good hot shower; it always relaxes me. I wash my hair and body and then just stand there, enjoying the heat. When I step out, my bathroom is covered in steam due to how hot I had the shower. Oh well, it'll clear up soon, I'm sure. I grab a towel and step into my bedroom to get dry and dressed in fresh clothes, choosing just a simple pair of leggings and a baggy top, as I'm not planning on going anywhere and might as well be comfortable. Once I'm dressed, I braid my hair, as I can't be bothered with the effort to dry it right now.

When I'm finished, I go downstairs to grab a bottle of water before chilling out for a while. What I wasn't expecting to find is Cam sitting on the sofa, looking upset. Forgetting about grabbing my water, I go over to Cam and sit next to him.

"Cam, what's wrong? Why do you look upset?”

He looks at me, his eyes full of unshed tears. “Did you do it?” He asks.
