She hums in response, and I feel her taking deep breaths. Trying to calm herself down. As I stare at my former parents, I see a car speeding towards the gate. I know that car. Mama June has arrived, and from the speed at which she’s driving, she isn’t happy about these fuckers being here.

Behind me, I can hear everyone chuckling evilly. They all know shit is about to go down with Mama June’s arrival. The fuckers are staring at us in utter confusion at the way we’re all acting. They’ll find out soon enough why we’re behaving like this, as Mama June is parking up and getting out.

“I’d hoped your text was a fucking bad joke.” Mama June says as she walks towards us.

"Sorry, Mama, I wish it was.” I say with a small smile.

“Mama?” It’s my former father who speaks this time. “What the fuck? Your mother is standing right here.” He says as he points at his wife.

Mama June’s back goes up at that, and I know she’s about to let her temper fly.

"Oh, you’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Neither of you are his parents. Parents don’t fucking do what you two did. He stopped being your son the moment you two decided to abuse him, and he became mine the moment he came into my care. Now do us all a favor and crawl back into the hole you came out of and forget he exists.” She emphasizes her point by pulling out the knife that was strapped to her back.

We all burst out laughing at the look of fear that passes over both of their faces. Neither of them move until Mama June takes a step towards them. Then they’re both turning their tails and running as fast as they can.

“Fucking good riddance.” Mama June shouts after them. “Now come on, you lot, let's head back inside and forget they ever existed.”

None of us argue with her, heading back through the gates and to our rides. My demons may not have been vanquished in the same fashion as Sera's, but they’ve been vanquished all the same. And I know if they ever show their faces around here again, they’ll be finding out just how lethal the two women in my life are. I have no doubts in my mind that Mama June and Sera will work together and end them both. I’m sure if we weren’t standing at the gates of The Compound, they’d have both done something a lot more physical than what just took place.

I know I'm fucking lucky to have all these people in my life. They may not be my family by blood, but by god's they are my true family, and I wouldn't change them for the world.

Epilogue

Sera

Another month has passed since Blade's former parents decided to show up at The Compound gates. It’s been peaceful since that day. There’s been no drama, no threats. We’ve all just been enjoying our lives. It’s been wonderful. I never imagined I could have a life like this, but I’ll be forever grateful that I do.

Today is exactly one month since I was implanted, and I can do my first pregnancy test. There’s a chance that even though it’s been a month, it’s still too early for it to show up, but I can’t help myself. I’m excited.

After waiting for the time indicated, I look over at the test. I can’t believe it. I'm now staring down at a positive pregnancy test. It took after the first time; that’s amazing. I thought it would take so much longer than this. I feel the tears of joy run down my cheeks, and I can't help but smile. I quickly wipe the tears away and wipe the smile off my face. I don't want to give away the good news. I want to actually be able to tell them with words, not my emotions and expressions.

I walk out of the bathroom and have to laugh to myself at the sight that greets me. Wrath, Flame, and Blade are all sitting at the end of my bed, staring at the bathroom door I've just walked through. As soon as I was awake and functioning this morning, Wrath and Flame came over, knowing I planned on doing the test and wanting to be here to find out the results right away. For big, bad bikers, they sure are adorable sometimes.

“Well?” Wrath asks in anticipation, his leg bouncing up and down. His hand tightly gripping Flame.

“You're pregnant!” I let my happiness come through in my voice.

I see Blade smile out of the corner of my eye, but I don't take my eyes off Flame and Wrath; I want to witness every moment of their reactions. They don't disappoint either; as soon as the words have left my mouth, Wrath is up off the bed and picking me up in his arms, spinning me around, and I can't help but laugh. Flame slowly walks over, shaking his head at his husband's antics.

“Thank you for giving us the greatest gift we could ever receive, Sera.” Flame tells me his voice is full of affection.

He opens his arms for a hug, and I manage to get away from my brother and hug Flame. This is the best news, and I can't wait to go through this journey and give them their child at the end. God, I'm so excited for them. I know they're going to be wonderful parents. They've already proven that with Cam. Now they get to experience parenthood from the beginning. I can't wait to see the two big, bad bikers getting wrapped around a tiny baby's finger. It's going to be quite entertaining.

“Congratulations.” Blade says, walking over and slapping them both on the shoulders.

“Thanks.” They both reply in sync.

It’s been a few days since I found out I’m pregnant. I don’t feel much different, but I know that will change soon. I’m quite looking forward to it all. Right now, though, I’m with Wreck at Devil’s Ink. We’re about to close up for the night, and I can’t wait to head home. Blade, Shadow, and my Dad should be back anytime.

They’ve been heading out over the past month, handling everyone on the list from my past. Last night was the last of the list. The businessmen brothers. After talking it over with Eagle, they decided on a plan that would end them but not bring any attention to any of us. That’s why all three of them went; the plan needed more than one person to ensure it went off without any issues. I’m glad all this is going to be over and done with before the little bean I’m carrying makes an appearance. They deserve to enter this world without half of the family traveling around the country, ending the lives of some vile human beings.

I’m brought out of my thoughts when Wreck comes running into my workspace, eyes wild and looking worried. I immediately go on alert. In all the time I’ve known him, I have never, not once, seen this look on Wreck’s face before.

“What’s wrong?” I ask worriedly.

“The building has been surrounded. I have no idea who they are, but we’re in trouble, Sera.”
