“Where’s Blade?” I ask while eyeing him up.

“Downstairs.”

I know what he means. He doesn’t have to say the words. He’s downstairs, working over Lanky. Maybe I shouldn’t be, but I’m curious to see him work. I bet it’s hot as fuck.

“I wanna see him.”

“You sure?” Flame asks warily.

I just nod my head and let him see the determination behind my eyes. Flame guides me towards a set of stairs. When we reach the bottom, he looks back at me once more, and I just nod. Flame opens the door in front of him, and I’m immediately greeted by the sound of screams. Both male and female.

How could I forget Patricia was down here too? Maybe this will be extra good for me, and I’ll get closure where she’s concerned. Maybe Mama June will even let me get a few blows in; I certainly have the pent-up rage to inflict damage.

Entering the room, I take in the scene. Patricia is strung up with Mama June cutting into her stomach. She’s covered head to toe in cuts and blood. I can’t even say I feel bad for her; she deserves everything she’s experiencing right now.

Then there’s Blade and Lanky. Lanky is hanging just the same way as Patricia. He’s wearing just his underwear, and I can see Blade has caused some damage with his weapons. Lanky’s hands are covered in blood. So are his shoulders. Blade’s currently taking a sharp knife to Lanky’s stomach and actually removing strips of skin.

I should be disgusted, but I’m not. It’s like watching him do his own form of art. The tension that’s been running through his body all weekend seems to have drained since he’s been down here too. This is his therapy. I can see it now.

“Babe.” I call out, grabbing Blade’s attention.

He spins, still holding his knife. His clothing is covered in blood. He’s never looked more beautiful. The only thing I don’t like is the look of worry on his face. Not thinking twice about what I'm about to do. I walk towards him, my steps filled with determination.

As soon as I’m in front of him, I grab his face, pull him down towards me, and kiss the ever loving shit out of him. I could have used my words and told him that this side of him didn’t bother me, but what’s the saying again? Actions speak louder than words. Yeah, that’s what I’m going with here.

Blade returns the kiss with just as much passion. I hear the knife drop to the floor, and then he’s lifting me into his arms. I lock my legs around his waist and can’t help but groan when I feel his hardness press against my core through my clothes.

Pulling back from the kiss, we’re both panting.

“Stop worrying.” I say, placing one last kiss on his nose, before unlocking my legs from his waist and sliding down his body. Not caring about covering myself in blood.

“Angel. Are you trying to kill me?” He groans out.

I can’t help but laugh. That wasn’t my intention at all.

“Children. Behave; you have an audience.” Mama June calls out.

“Sorry Mama.” Blade says as he takes a step back and rearranges himself. Trying to hide how turned on he is.

I can’t help but feel a little smug that I affected him so easily. I've never had this effect on someone before. I’m going to enjoy this if this is what kissing him causes.

Chapter Twenty-Five

Blade

Hearing Sera’s voice while being mid-torture terrified me. There’s knowing I do this sort of thing, and then there’s coming face-to-face with it. I was worried I’d lose her already. It turns out I have nothing to worry about. That kiss was something else. If we didn’t have an audience, I swear I’d have stripped her down and shown her just how much her reaction meant.

Unfortunately, I don’t have that option right now. Not only am I in the middle of working over Lanky, but Mama June is still working over Patricia. Then there’s Flame, who didn’t leave after bringing Sera. He’s currently standing by the tool table, looking it over. I think he may want to get involved. I don’t mind. The more, the merrier.

"Sera?” Mama June says.

“Yeah?”

“Do you want a go?” She asks, holding her knife out.

In true Sera fashion, she flashes a grin that reminds me so much of her brothers that it’s a little scary. She glides across the room and grabs the knife from Mama June.

“Thank you.” She says her voice sounding so sweet.
