Page 33 of KAI Tortured

My eyes bore into him. He better not try to joke.

“What does that mean?!” Logan needs answers, and I do too.

I take the piece of paper and start reading. And I see it right there. The results. I close my eyes, crazily relieved, and start to think of many different ways to discipline Kai.

He thinks he’s funny, playing with us. Well, with my patience wearing thin, he’s in for a surprise.

I exchange a glance with Logan as Kai’s laughter rings out like a taunt, pushing me to the brink of my restraint.

With a swift movement, I lunge forward, my fingers curling around Kai’s wrists like steel. Logan follows suit, and even with Kai as big and strong as he is, our combined strength overpowers our reckless younger brother. Correction: half-brother.

Kai’s laughter falters as we pull him onto the couch and hold him captive, his bravado crumbling by the second. I’m furious, so is Logan, and we both know what true torment is yet to come to Kai.

“Force his mouth open!” I order, and Logan pushes his fingers inside his cheeks. Kai’s mouth is pulled open. I grin and make out like I’m going to spit into his gaping mouth. My saliva drools while Kai shakes off Logan’s grip and bucks underneath us.

“No! Orion, don’t do it! I’m sorry! I really am! Fuck!” Kai’s apology means nothing; I want him to experience the panic I went through when I was reading the letter, although I know we’re not kids anymore, and he’s gonna hate me forever if I actually spit in his mouth. We used to roughhouse like this when we were young, but we should know better now.

“What shall we do to him, Logan?”

“I know!” Logan exclaims. “No sex with Maisy. For a week.”

“No! No way!” Kai protests, and opens his mouth. “Spit. Go on, I don’t care. Spit in my mouth. Assholes. Do it!”

I frown at him. “We’re the assholes?”

“Wh-What are you doing?” Maisy’s angelic voice suddenly cuts through the testosterone frenzy on the couch.

“Just fooling around.” Logan goes back to where he was sitting, but I’ve still got Kai pinned underneath me.

“That was not funny.” I smack his head before I get off him and go to sit in the chair where he was.

“The looks on your faces, though.” Kai fixes his hair and smirks. “Priceless.”

“What happened?” Maisy asks him.

“Just clowning around. Never mind. Come and sit next to me before these two change their minds and kick the shit out of me.”

Maisy plops her bottom on the couch and giggles. “They wouldn’t.”

“What makes you think we won’t punish him for what he did?” I ask.

“What did he do?”

“You don’t remember? He kidnapped you when he shouldn’t have,” Logan says.

“Oh.”

“Well? Why do you think we shouldn’t punish him?”

She shrugs. “Because you’re good friends… and… I dunno.”

I nod. “I think you do know.”

“I… know?”

“Sweetheart, we know you know,” Logan says encouragingly. Like me, he wants her to just come out and say because you’re half-brothers.

“I know… what?”
