“It isn’t, really. But remember you expressed interest in finding work?”

“Yes. You guys have your jobs, and I don’t mind taking care of our home, but I want to get out of the house, too, at least until we have children. No point in my degree going to waste. Besides, I’d like to have some spending money that I’ve worked for and perhaps treat you three sometimes.” She’d left school after the Dale incident, but Zora hated the idea of all her credits going to waste. After she’d settled in Covington for a while, she’d enrolled and took classes at a local college and earned a degree in business administration.

“You know it’s not necessary for you to work, but I understand your concern.”

“I appreciate you guys giving me that option, but I want to work.”

“You’ve mentioned it and Heath, Logan and me discussed it. I think we’ve come up with a solution. My office manager is reducing her hours and there will be a couple days a week when we’ll need someone to help out around the office. Logan could also use someone in the store to help with the books a few days a week, so if you’d like, you can do either one of those things or both. You’re welcome to find something else if those options don’t interest you.”

Zora was excited at the prospect of getting out of the house every day. “I don’t see why I can’t give a try. When can I start?”

“As soon as you want. My office manager is working her last full week. Perhaps you can come in for training. And when you’re comfortable with how things work around the office, you can work out your schedule with Logan.”

She moved into his arms again to kiss him on the jawline. “You guys take such good care of me. I don’t know what I did to deserve the three of you, but I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

Gavin squeezed her tightly against him. “Funny you should say that, because we think we’re the lucky ones.”
