“Next, you and I need to go on a little spa vacation so you can be pampered. Once you relax and chill for a bit without running campaigns and keeping your husband’s social media going, you will be pregnant in no time.

“You talk to Bishop when you get home. I’ll handle booking our vacation. Maybe Isha and Sunny would like to come along, and we can make it a girls’ trip.”

“I’d like that.”

“Good, I’m sure Mom and Dad would love a weekend with their little munchkins. It’s all going to work out. You’ll see.”

She looks up into my eyes. “Thanks, Rem.”

“Anytime, Saga. Nobody is going to come between my favorite couple. You and Bishop belong together.”

“How are things going with Knight?”

I can’t help the smile that breaks across my face. “Things have been going great with Knight. I’ve been making progress with the yoga classes as well.”

“And the therapist? Have you started sessions yet?”

“We’ve talked on the phone a few times. I’m going to go into her office soon.”

“Good.”

“I’m going to have a few drinks. You going to join me?”

“Of course. I said I wanted to clear my head, didn’t I?”

“That you did. Let’s go with the jumbo margaritas then, shall we?”

Knight

I’m in Reminisce’s law office in the reception area waiting for her to show up. I have some lamb marinating at the house for dinner and a bottle of her favorite wine chilling. I was hoping we could have a romantic dinner tonight.

I let Mike go home about an hour ago. There was no point in him waiting around here with me. Once Rem arrives, I’m sure she would let him go for the night anyway.

I hear the sound of the elevator chiming, and moments later the door opens, causing me to lift my head from my phone. My brother has been losing his shit all day wondering where his wife is. The family has a group text going for updates.

Someone’s going to lose their job today. Saga has her own security which she apparently ducked out on. Bishop sounded like his head was going to explode.

“Hey, you,” Rem slurs as she and Saga stumble into the office.

“Are you guys both drunk?”

“Well duh,” Saga sings.

“Those margaritas were so good though,” Rem says.

I pinch the bridge of my nose and shake my head. Mike told me Reminisce called to let him know she wouldn’t be back to the office until late. I had no idea the reason was because she was out getting shitfaced.

We all thought something might have happened to Saga. The last thing I was expecting was for her to stroll in here drunk off her ass with my girl. They burst into laughter as Saga leans into Rem and whispers something to her.

I shake my head at the two as they laugh their asses off at whatever they think is so damn funny. I pull my phone out to text Bishop and let him know I have Saga and I’m going to drop her home. I don’t know what is going on with them, but I wouldn’t feel right not getting her home safely. Saga walks over and pokes me in the chest.

“You better not be texting your brother. I’m not speaking to him right now, and I don’t want him knowing where I am,” she says drunkenly.

“Saga, sweetheart, your husband is worried sick about you. I’m just letting him know you’re safe.”

“Oh my God, he’s worried?” she says, truly looking concerned. Then she turns to face Rem. “Oh no, Rem. I didn’t want him to worry. What if I’m wrong? He already has so much on his shoulders with the album and our thing.
