“I’m sure you would.” Because Felix was thoughtful and generous. Jonah had watched him woo the women he dated that way. Not with flashy, ostentatious things, but with thoughtful, personalized gifts that really showed how well he knew the women.
“So, I’ve been thinking,” Felix said as Jonah plugged his phone in.
Jonah drew in a breath because that was such a dangerous statement from Felix. And likely to get them both in trouble.
“Yeah?” Jonah asked warily.
“Well, people are going to expect us to start posting some pictures on our social media talking about being together.”
“True.”
“And I took a few pictures earlier at the botanical gardens and at lunch but I think we should do a picture like this.” Felix gestured between their bodies.
“Of us in bed?” Jonah’s voice squeaked a little and he mentally facepalmed. God, he needed to get it together.
“Yeah. I mean, we need to make it look good, right?”
“Okay …” Jonah said slowly because yes, he could see Felix’s point but Jesus, was Felix actually trying to kill him?
“We don’t have to though. I know you’re pretty private in relationships usually so we can keep it all G-rated if you’d rather.”
“No, it’s fine,” Jonah managed. If he was really engaged to Felix, he’d probably be shouting it from the rooftops. “We should sell this. Make it believable to the fans.”
“So, you ready?” Felix asked. He reached for his phone and fiddled with it a moment.
“Uh, yeah, what exactly did you have in mind?” Jonah asked hesitantly.
Felix shifted so his head was on the pillow. “Okay, so scoot down and put your head on my shoulder.”
Jonah gulped and did it, settling his cheek against Felix’s bare skin. They were both shirtless and Felix was so warm. He smelled good too and he didn’t hesitate to curve an arm around Jonah’s back to pull him closer.
Jonah resisted the urge to throw his knee over Felix’s thigh the way he would if this was a guy he was actually dating. Felix didn’t need to feel it if he got turned on.
“C’mon, look at the camera. What do you think?” Felix coaxed.
Jonah glanced at the screen. “Yeah, that looks good,” he choked out.
Because damn it, they did look good together. The bright coppery-blond color of Felix’s hair against the inky blackness of his own, the way Jonah had positioned his hand across Felix’s chest, the curve of Felix’s cheek as he angled his head so he could press closer to Jonah.
They looked like they belonged together.
Jonah heard the quiet snap of Felix’s camera shutter as he took several pictures in a row.
“Um, you look a little … uncomfortable though,” Felix said. “Tense or something.”
Well maybe that’s because I’m afraid if I scoot any closer to you and you touch me any more than you already are, I’m going to get hard. But Jonah couldn’t exactly say that aloud.
“We don’t have to do this,” Felix said earnestly.
“No, it’s fine. I just don’t take as many selfies as you. I’m not as vain,” Jonah chirped.
“Hey!” Felix protested but he was laughing. “Take that back, you asshole.”
But the joking was good because Jonah relaxed and the pictures turned out better. Felix took a few more shots just to be safe before he directed Jonah to turn onto his back.
“We’ll try it the other way now,” Felix said as he put his head on Jonah’s shoulder.
And oh did those words conjure up some images Jonah would never forget. If Felix were into men, would he be versatile the way Jonah was?
