Keaton looks at James, to me then back to Nate. I shake my head, lifting my shoulders and Keaton looks back at James who looks as confused as us.
“Right, okay,” he sighs, “any problems…”
“I’ll call,” she smiles, and her cheeks must be hurting from the constant smile that is plastered on her face.
“And their routine and stuff is all listed out in the kitchen.”
“Got it!” she says as she closes the door, and I am sort of glad she did otherwise I wouldn’t have left.
Keaton steps beside me as we walk towards the sidewalk.
“What the hell was that about?” I whisper as we get to Nate’s car.
“I have no idea,” he mutters, leaning down and giving me one last kiss. “I’ll find out though.”
I scrunch my nose up, and smile.
“Have the best day,” he whispers against my lips.
“You too,” I edge forward and kiss him, really, for the last time.
“Be safe, I love you.”
“I love you more,” I smile, eyes a little watery. I stand and watch as he gets into Nate’s car and once he is tucked inside, I get into mine.
I wait until he drives away before pulling out onto the road. I was ready for my new adventure. I was finally where I wanted to be.
And most importantly, I was happy.
Immensely.
NATE

Well, mine are about to be spilled.
