“Yeah, yeah.”
He tugged on my arm. “C’mon. You need to try Dana’s beef, and I don’t mean that in a dirty way.” He winked, dragging me to the table where he grabbed a plate. I didn’t bother getting one. My stomach was stirring with a bit of worry. If I ate, I might make myself sick.
“Not going to eat?” he asked.
“Maybe once I get settled.”
“You can watch me eat then.”
“The Pierce men know how to pack it away,” someone said behind me. I turned to find Dexen wearing a grin. “You haven’t been around them enough yet, but the two of them love to eat. Hale more than Milo.”
I glanced at Milo, who was piling his plate with food like he hadn’t eaten in a week. “I’ll have to remember to keep him fed.”
Milo spoke without looking up so he could keep adding food. “Helps me sustain my energy.”
“I’m glad you could come, Slater. It’s nice to see you outside the club or when JJ’s not fawning all over you.”
“Happy Birthday. How old are you going to be? Eighty-five?”
That got Milo’s attention. “Nice one.” He ducked his head. “Sorry, boss.”
“That’s what I get for bringing JJ’s obsession with your band up.” Dexen chuckled.
“It’s only me tonight. I’m not nearly as exciting as the others.”
“Depends on who you ask.”
“Jesus, stop,” I groaned.
“You’re one of us. Welcome to the festivities.” He walked backward until he collided with the broad chest of his other lover, Greer, who put his arms around Dexen’s stomach and pressed a kiss to his neck.
“How’s it going, Slay?” Greer asked.
“Good. You?”
“Can’t complain.” Greer had known me and the rest of the band for a long time. When he was a teenager, he used to work at the restaurant Casper and Reed’s family owned. Greer felt like family to me, though more in a cousin way instead of a brother like Casper and Reed did.
I followed Milo through the tent, getting introduced to Dana and Vail along the way. Milo kept up the greetings, introducing me to everyone I didn’t know as we walked to an empty table near the edge of the gathering. I could have kissed him for it. I didn’t want to be in the middle of people.
Yeah, I could definitely kiss him. Especially with the way he smiled as a bit of gravy stuck to the corner of his lips. Dana and Vail weren’t serving cookout food. This was gourmet, should be at a wedding food.
“You keep looking at me like that and I’m going to crawl onto your lap and make my intention known,” Milo said.
“I wouldn’t tell you no.”
“Oh, really?”
Leaning forward, I put my hand on his thigh and stared into his beautiful brown eyes. This close, I noticed there was a bit of gold in them. “I’ve thought about that ring in your lip and what it tastes like.”
“It can taste like your cum, if you like that sort of thing.”
“You don’t pull punches, do you?”
“With you, I don’t want to play coy. My cards are on the table, remember? I’m here for whatever you want.”
I leaned closer until my lips brushed his ear. “And if I want more than my cum on your lips?”
His reply was breathy. “My cum on your lips?”
