He sighed. “I give up. This is how I live. The rest of the house is good but I’m a slob in my room.”

“At least you don’t have food lying around.”

“No, just laundry, both clean and dirty.” He pointed to a basket near the closet of clean clothes.

“You should probably be better about it if you want to come on tour with me.” I could have waited until the three of us were together, but I’d already floated the idea by them.

“It’s on the table then?”

“Yes, I want you there, but I understand if you can’t go. You have jobs and responsibilities.” It would suck if they couldn’t go, especially while witnessing the others in love with their partners, who would be on tour with us. However, I could deal with it knowing I would come home to them every chance I got.

“I’ve already thought about who could fill in for me if I were to go. It’s not like no one could do my job. There was a guy who came up to me last week when I was working. I’m not used to getting approached by the members. They usually go for whoever’s wearing a G-string. Anyway, he started asking about my equipment, the brands I used, and how I liked them. He was genuinely interested in what I do. He told me he’d dabbled in music. I’m wondering if he’d like to fill in for me. I’d have to train him, and get him used to the way Untouchable works, but it’s an option. The guy already went through Dex’s security measures.” He pulled a new T-shirt over his head, covering up his torso. God, I wanted to touch him, but I wanted Cody with us the next time we were together.

“Just to be clear, he wasn’t hitting on you?”

Milo rolled his eyes. “No, he didn’t have an interest in me like that.”

“Don’t act like it’s not a possibility. You work in an exclusive club and you’re gorgeous. I’m surprised you don’t get hit on every night.”

“While it’s cute that you’re getting jealous, you have no reason to be. I’m the deejay, not a dancer. I don’t shake what I’ve got for the members.”

I stepped close, placing my hand on his hip. “Would you shake it for your boyfriends?”

He grinned. “Maybe I would. But not right now. We have a lover to surprise at work.”

“We do. What should we do together? I think Cody’s due to get off work soon.”

“I can think of a thing or two.”

MILO

The smart thing would be to not sneak up on the man who was trained to fight and had his hand in a splint. I never claimed to be smart. I snuck up behind Cody at the gym but the fucker must have heard me coming and spun around before I could get the jump on him.

“Jerk,” I pouted. “I almost had you.”

“No, you didn’t, but nice try. Your sneakers will give you away every time.”

I looked down at my Chucks. “What’s wrong with them?”

“They have a very subtle squeak when you walk. I noticed it when you came over last time you visited me.” His voice turned somber. “Are you okay? We haven’t seen you in a bit.”

“I’m fine. Slater and I talked. I was being a jealous dumbass. We’re good.”

“Why were you jealous?”

“It’s stupid.”

Cody reached for my arm with his good hand. “It’s not. If it upset you, I want to know so we don’t do it again.”

“You were injured and Slater gave you more attention. Rightfully so. But then I started to wonder if maybe it would be better if it was you two without me. That I didn’t fit like I thought I did. You two have this deep connection, and I wasn’t certain I had the same with you both.”

“Milo, I don’t love him more than you. Did I fall for him first? Yeah, I did. I’m not going to lie about that. You were so damn easy to fall for though. From our first date, I was sweet on you.”

“Throwing my words back at me, huh?”

“Not throwing. Reminding. I love you, okay?”
