“You couldn’t have fucked the pizza guy, could you?”
“Ummm…”
“Jesus, Milo! Why didn’t I ever get a free pie? I don’t want soap. You should have prioritized. We could have all enjoyed pizza.” The door slammed.
“That was my brother,” Milo said.
“Uh huh.”
Milo crinkled a bag. “Oooh, pina colada. That’s a good scent.”
“Milo,” I growled, a sound I didn’t remember ever making before.
“Right. No orgasm soap. I’ll throw them out. Promptly.”
“That’s better.”
We talked a little while longer until I realized how long I’d been on the phone and hung up, promising to see him and Slater later.
I walked out of my office and spotted Xaiden behind his desk.
“Get everything worked out?” he asked.
“Yeah, apparently Milo has a magic dick and men become hooked on him.” After living with Xaiden, Val, and Corbin for as long as I had, I was pretty open about what I said. I wasn’t about to tell them the intimate details between Milo, Slater, and me, but I also didn’t clam up and not speak.
“I’d get jealous,” Xaiden said, leaning back in his chair. He folded his hands over his flat stomach. The man was as solid as a rock. “I’m too possessive to be able to deal with that.”
“You don’t say?” I laughed. It was no secret how Xaiden got around his men. He loved them with everything he had. And he absolutely hated when they got hit on.
“How serious are things between you three?” So, we were going there. I knew it was coming. I hadn’t said much about them, except we were together and figuring things out. I expected a talk.
“Very. We’re committed to each other. Not fucking around.”
“Did you get tested?”
I cocked an eyebrow. I might have been embarrassed by the conversation had Corbin not already brought it up and we hadn’t talked about sex extensively when I came to live with them. Safe sex was important. “I went this morning on my way in. I can’t speak for Milo and Slater though.”
“Keep it wrapped up until you know all of you are clean. I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
“I know. I’m being careful.”
“Not just with sex. Love isn’t easy.”
I scoffed, “I think I’ve figured that much out already.”
“You love Slater. We see it. You’re falling for Milo too. Do they know?”
“I haven’t told them. I don’t want to yet. What if I tell them and they don’t say it back? We’ve only been together for a little while.” Two weeks since the news broke online if I was being precise.
“Yes, but you started falling for Slater before that.”
I shrugged. There was no point in denying it.
“You should bring them over for dinner.”
“Why? You already know them.”
“We do. Not as your boyfriends though. We should have a family dinner.”
