Megan smiled at that.
Tasha continued, “And you really care. That’s why you’re such an amazing mom.”
“Awww, thank you!”
“You’re welcome, and no coat. I left it at the office. I’ll get it on Monday.” Tasha took Megan’s hand and they walked toward the door. Once outside, Megan raised an arm and waved. Down the street, headlights turned on and a parked vehicle started to move.
“Maria got us a limo! I haven’t ridden in one of these since my wedding.”
“Prom for me, and bravo, Maria.”
When the limousine pulled up, the two quickly bundled themselves into the warm vehicle. The driver asked where they wanted to go next. Megan answered, “We’d like to go to a nice restaurant. Something classy but not overdone. I haven’t had a chance to look for one, though.”
“Leave that to me,” he responded before asking, “Any restrictions?”
“No, not that I can think of. You?”
Tasha answered, “No restrictions here. A cozy place with candles would be nice, though.”
“Got it! You two just relax and I’ll take care of it.” With that, the driver raised the divider, leaving them in private.
The two relaxed and shook off their brief foray into the cold evening. They huddled together and took one last selfie for Maria. As Tasha sent the selfie to Maria, she felt Megan’s fingers on her biceps, tracing the cat paw trail up her arm.
“Tasha…” Megan purred. “I think that it’s time to properly kiss my girlfriend.”
“Are you sure? Here in the limo?” Megan’s fingertips were leaving trails of fire on her arm.
“Tasha, please kiss me before I lose my nerve.”
Tasha leaned in and Megan met her. What started as a brief kiss quickly elongated into a very drawn-out and energetic kiss. Eventually, the two separated and fell backwards, each breathing heavily.
Tasha dreamily asked, “So, how was it?”
“Amazing! Was it good for you? I’ve never?—”
“Shhh, Megan. It was perfect.”
“Mmm, good. I think that might have been the best kiss of my life.” Megan giggled, then continued, “But I’m not sure. We might have to do that again. You know, for science.”
“Well, I guess so.” Tasha laughed. “How can I say ‘no’ to science?”
Tasha was about to sit up when Megan pounced. Suddenly Megan’s hands were on her face, in her hair. Megan’s lips were on hers, then her tongue invaded Tasha’s mouth. Megan straddled her hips, taking advantage of the roominess of the limousine to press Tasha backwards. Tasha wasn’t complaining. Not at all, well, at least until she started to have trouble breathing. She tapped out, and Megan sat up, still in Tasha’s lap as the limousine lurched into motion. Tasha grabbed her to keep her from falling, and Megan laughed as she held onto Tasha.
“Where did that come from?”
“I don’t know, I just felt it at the moment. Was it too much?”
“No, it was incredible. You are incredible.”
“Thank you. You are amazing, too!”
“So, Megan. What did science say? Better than the first one?”
“Mmm, definitely. You know, just to make the experiment fair, maybe I should get off your lap and have you pounce on me and kiss me to within an inch of my life? You know, for science.”
“I dunno, Megan. I guess I’ll have to do it, but only because that makes the experiment fair.” Tasha grinned and leapt on top of Megan. She felt Megan’s hands on her hips, steadying her as the car rocked and swayed on their way to wherever they were going. Tasha felt like they were crossing a bridge, both literally and figuratively, as Megan’s fingers started to trace downwards. They finished crossing the Willamette right about the same time as Megan’s fingertips found the tops of her stockings.
With a start, Megan pulled her hands off of Tasha’s legs and placed them on her shoulders, gently pushing her back. They were both breathing heavily, and Megan was definitely flushed.
