Glancing back to make sure Eva was ready, and completely covered, I opened the door. Static's brows shot up. "Seriously? You were supposed to be getting out of here, not fucking her."
Eva's gasp was soft, but I didn't comfort her. She was going to be living with these men and was going to have to get used to the way they spoke.
Shrugging my shoulders, I grinned. "Decided to do both."
Static just shook his head. "You might have just blown your chance to leave undetected, asshole."
"We'll make it work," I told him.
"You'd think at forty years old you'd be able to keep your dick in your pants."
Arching a brow, I shot him a challenging look. "Well, once you quit being a fucking coward and claim your own woman, then you'll see exactly how hard it is."
"What?" he barked. "The fuck you talking about? I don't have a woman to claim. And I'm not a fucking coward."
This man had been a friend for so long, I knew I had to give it to him straight. I owed it to him. "Really?" I asked, tilting my head. "What did you spend all last Saturday doing?"
His brows drew together in confusion. "I watched a Chuck Norris marathon with Sean."
"No one watches that many Norris flicks unless they're head over heels for the person who loves the actor. And you can't be head over heels for those kids unless you're in love with their mother," I pointed out. Static sputtered, trying to come up with denials.
I ignored them all. "I already watched one brother fuck himself over by refusing to pull his head out of his ass. I don't want to watch a second go down that road, too. Grow some balls and claim Gwen for yourself," I advised as I pushed past him and out the door. Looking back, I motioned for a shocked Eva to follow me.
Wrapping my arm around her, I led her down the hallway. She was meant to be by my side. Her curves pressed against my body. I liked this. I meant it when I said I'd figure a way out of this. Static was right behind me, but wasn't running his mouth anymore.
"Where are we going?" Eva whispered.
"To get you out of here."
"And then what?"
I paused at the top of the stairs and looked down at her. "Then we go home."
"You're just going to walk out the front door?" Static asked with a frown as he stopped beside us. "What about her father?"
"He'll just have to deal. Besides, I don't think he'll want to cause a scene here."
We met up with Lock and the others at the bottom of the stairs. "Why are you still here?" my brother asked.
"We're leaving," I told him, unwilling to go over it all a second time. "If we all surround Eva her father wouldn't dare try to take her back."
"Idaho."
The fear in Eva's voice made me turn to her. I followed her gaze and glared when I saw Krier across the room. "Asshole has some balls. I'll give him that. Wait here," I told her. Dealing with Krier was the most important thing for now. "Smoke, stay with her."
"You got it."
I stalked across the room, ignoring the dark look I received from her father as I went. He was stuck talking to one of the men who was a part of his country's parliament. I'd deal with him afterward. Focusing back on Krier, I moved in, the others at my back. "What are you doing here?" I asked.
His lip lifted in a snarl of disgust. His dark hair was gelled back and looked like it was super glued to his head. I wasn't even positive it was his real hair, or if it was a toupee. He stared up at us, secure in the fact that he was surrounded by the elite.
"I'm Tatiana's fiancé," I told him. My eyes narrowed as he paled. "I know you hired those assholes to kidnap her."
"You have no proof-"
"Actually, I do," I replied. My smile grew as I watched him fidget. He was giving himself away and didn't even realize it.
"Your authorities aren't going to take what you say seriously."
