I barely heard what he was saying as I stared up into Idaho's hazel eyes. They were so warm and full of love for me. I felt like the luckiest woman in the world right then. The man I loved was going to make me his today and I couldn't wait. It was like a dream come true. Later, I would probably wish that I'd paid more attention, but I managed to say the right words, and melted when Idaho gave his vows to me.

There wasn't one thing missing from this day. As much as I loved my family back home, this was the family I was choosing. And it felt right. So very right.

"You may now kiss the bride," Priest said with a chuckle.

Idaho pulled me close, his lips descending on mine. I kissed him back with all the love I had for him. When we finally parted, everyone cheered. We walked down the aisle together, then went inside so we could have our first dance as husband and wife.

I laughed as he spun me around the room, then held me close as a slower song came on and we swayed together.

"Can I cut in?"

"Fuck no. Go away, Toxic," Idaho said, shoving the other man away.

Toxic chuckled and gave me an innocent look. "You'll save a dance for me though, your next husband. Right? "

"Of course," I told him, laughing.

"Fucking asshole," Idaho muttered, glaring until Toxic put his hands up and moved away. Then my new husband focused back on me. "You're mine now." He nuzzled against my neck and I shivered. "And I can't wait to get you alone tonight."

I thought back and tried to find a time in my life when I was so happy. I couldn't because there was no Idaho before now. No family. No love. Just sadness and loneliness. Now I had everything I'd ever wanted.

I lifted up onto my toes and kissed him again. "I love you, Levi." He'd made today perfect for me. I didn't even care that I hadn't made one decision on my wedding day. In fact, this was the way every woman should get married. Just show up and enjoy themselves. It was so freeing. It didn't escape my notice that the wedding and this party had all of my favorite things. I was sure that both Thomas and my sisters had a hand in that. There was no need to ask if they'd helped give ideas on what I might like. I knew it.

He groaned softly. "You're going to make it hard to focus on the rest of this party."

"Too bad," I whispered against his lips. "'Cause I want some cake."

He grumbled but was a good sport about staying down and celebrating with our friends. There were a lot of extra men here. I recognized them from the ball and Idaho mentioned that they were from The Berserker's Rage MC, the same MC that Cynic and Torque were in. I smiled at each of them, but Idaho pretty much kept me close all night. It wasn't like I minded.

"Say the word and we'll get out of here," Idaho told me. He'd been tormenting me all night with promises of what he was going to do to me once we were alone.

"Fine," I said with a little pout. "We can-" My squeal cut off my words as Idaho bent down and tossed me over his shoulder. Gasping, my hands went to the top of my dress to make sure my breasts stayed in place. The double sided tape we'd used to hold the fabric to my flesh did its job, somehow. "Idaho!"

Everyone laughed as he swatted my ass and it reminded me of the first night he'd brought me home. I couldn't contain the happy smile as my husband hauled me off to bed.

CHAPTER 41

Idaho

Aweek had passed and we were trying to finalize our plans to start going after Fremont. It was difficult because the man had so much pull with the city and law enforcement. We couldn't just make him disappear, like Butcher kept suggesting. As much as I wanted to give Krier some company in that mineshaft, Fremont's disappearance would cause a manhunt. We didn't need people looking at us too closely, and they inevitably would. The cops working with Fremont would set them on our trail in a heartbeat.

Lock knew this, so he was keeping everyone on a tight leash while we tried to figure out our game plan. I promised Eva that I'd take her on an extended honeymoon once this was all over. For now it was too dangerous to leave the others. There was safety in numbers for all of us. The women were taking the resulting lockdown fairly well, apparently they'd already been through this before. Eva was back in school, but with Thomas, and a second bodyguard I hired, she was safe to go to classes. Fremont wasn't going to go after her on campus. He still had a reputation to maintain.

I walked into Lock's office and shut the door. He raised his head and his eyes went from me to it as his brows rose. "Something you need to talk about?"

"Yeah."

"If it has anything to do with what you saw last week, I don't-"

"It's not that," I said, interrupting him. I sat down in the chair, making myself at home and irritating him. I was the younger brother by two minutes, it was my duty in life to annoy him.

Lock set his pen down and leaned back in the chair. He folded his arms over his chest, watching me, waiting. I'd asked to speak with him, he wasn't about to start this. He probably wished I'd fuck off and get lost.

"We need to talk about this." I motioned between us. "I plan to stay and this fucking wall between us needs to be knocked down."

"You created it." He stared at me, an impassive look on his face, but I knew he was furious.

The first few times I'd tried to explain to him, he let me. But in order to honor our mother's wishes, I hadn't been able to tell him much. That had only pissed him off more and not long after he stopped listening to any explanations. He just cut me out.
