"Where are we going?" I asked with a laugh as Idaho pulled me in close and began walking us toward his car.

"I have a surprise for you."

I waited while he opened the door, then slid inside and watched him walk around his car to get into the driver's seat. It was early, only six a.m. and the sun wasn't even up yet. I laid my head back against the headrest as he drove. My parents had called and let me know that they'd made it home. I was all settled in once more at the clubhouse. It had been a few days since everything had happened and I was slowly getting over the shock that I'd gotten my freedom. I was here. With Idaho. And my heart was so happy I swear it was about to burst in my chest.

Dozing, I jerked when Idaho cupped my cheek in his hand. "Wake up."

My eyes opened and I squinted. The sun was up now, casting a soft glow over the desert. "Where are we?"

"Mt. Lemmon," he answered before he got out of the car. He helped me out, then linked our fingers and walked me over to a field of massive boulders.

They were everywhere on the side of the road and one was worn smooth, hanging out over a drop off that made my head spin. My heart kicked in my chest, but I trusted Idaho with my life. I scrambled up onto it and we walked out to the edge. The sun was slowly climbing in the sky and the city looked tiny from where we were.

"This is beautiful," I said, leaning against his side.

His arm came around me and he kissed the top of my head. "I thought you might like this." He pulled something out of his pocket and dropped onto one knee.

I stared at him in shock. He had said that he wanted to marry me, but I didn't think he'd propose so soon. He was in the usual jeans, t-shirt, cut, and boots, but I'd now seen photos of him in a power suit, too. This man was an enigma, and he was all mine.

"I told you before I was going to make you mine," he warned. I laughed softly. "I'm going to drive you insane. I'll be pushy and demanding, and...I'll spend every day making sure you get everything you want." He searched my eyes. "Eva, you're already my old lady. Will you also be my wife?"

I nodded my head as tears began to stream down my face. He stood up and slipped the ring onto my finger. It was gorgeous and unique, just like him. Wrapping my arms around his shoulders when he stood, I kissed him. We stood that way, wrapped up in each other for a long time.

Eventually, he pulled back. "We need to get going or we'll be late."

"Late for what?" I asked.

"You'll see."

I was too excited to sleep this time and I watched the scenery fly by as we made our way down the mountain and into town. I frowned up at the building as we parked. "The courthouse?" I looked over at him. "What are you up to?"

"You'll see."

My mind whirled as he rushed me out of the car, into the building, and then made me wait out in the hall while he did whatever he was doing inside. He motioned to me to join him after about fifteen minutes.

"Sign here," the clerk said in a bored tone.

I started to ask what I was signing, but Idaho squeezed my arm, indicating for me to just sign. His eyes were telling me to trust him, so I signed with a flourish and waited as he finished up.

"Let's get back home," he said.

Shaking my head, I couldn't help but smile. I had no clue what he was up to, but he seemed so excited. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot the women met me and whisked me away.

"Let me see that ring," Seek demanded, then sighed when she saw it. "It's gorgeous."

"Thank you. Do-do you know what's going on?" I asked.

Jenny looked around at the others with a smile then asked, "How do you feel about getting married today?"

I stared at her in shock. "Today?"

"Yeah, everyone's here. Idaho's assistant, Andrew, and a few of us have planned the whole thing," Gwen said.

"Is that okay?" Sloane asked, worry pulling her brows together.

"I-" Looking around at their excited faces, I couldn't think of a single reason why it wouldn't be okay. I loved Idaho. I wanted to marry him. Today. Tomorrow. Twelve years from now. I didn't care when. "Yes!"

"Yay!" Jordan shouted, surprising me. She grinned sheepishly at me. "I love weddings. I'm still waiting for this one to tie the knot." She poked at Jenny.
