Griffin captures both of my hands and holds them to my chest as he and Nic thrust up suddenly. I cry out as my orgasm crashes down upon me. My grip on the bond slips and I can feel in my chest the moment Ethan senses where I am. “Fuck he’s coming…” Griffin and Nic start fucking me harder chasing their releases as my core tightens and tries to lock down on them. The pulsing of their cocks sends another ripple through me as I cry out again.

Ethan’s black wolf comes blasting through the underbrush and stands there, growling. He’s pissed I locked him out. Griffin and Nic slowly lower me to the ground, and I stand on wobbly legs. My wolfs instincts drive me to approach Ethan. She’s not afraid of him like this.

“Grace, he’s almost lost to his wolf. Be careful.” Conrad warns, and it earns him a deep growl from his brother.

Baring my neck to Ethan as I kneel before him seems like the most logical thing to do. The wet nose of his wolf touches my throat then slides down my shoulder to his original bite mark. His massive jaws open and he places my shoulder in his mouth and applies pressure. Closing my eyes, I lower my head, trusting my mate won’t hurt me.

“Is she okay?” I hear Nic asking Griffin.

“Yeah, it’s part of the sire bond. She’s submitting to him so he and his wolf know she’s safe. When his wolf is sure she’s safe, it will allow him to shift back.” Griffin catches Nic up on what seems to be the norm in our family these days.

Ethan shifts suddenly and scoops me up in his arms and presses his nose against my throat. His body is shaking and I’m not sure if it’s adrenaline or fear. His unusual reaction is like getting hit with a bucket of ice water. My ravenous desire is gone and is replaced with concern. “Let’s go home.” I look back at the others and they nod, agreeing with me.

Ethan scoops me up and starts walking in silence. It’s not like him to be so quiet, and it’s my fault that he is. Lowering my head, I rest it on his shoulder and sigh. The baby moves in my belly and it makes Ethan stop and look down. “Did the baby just move?” His words are soft as he stares down at my belly.

“Yes, that just started today.” Biting my bottom lip, I stare at where our bodies are touching.

“What started today?” Griffin moves closer.

“Our baby moving. It just started this morning before the appointment.” Sighing, I rest my hand on my stomach and rub it. The baby moves again and I reach out to take Griffin’s hand and rest it where I felt the movement.

The baby moves from next to Ethan to where Griffin’s hand is, then stops moving. His eyes widen as he stares down at his hand. “That was amazing. Do it again, little one.” He waits patiently for the baby to move again and nothing happens. What happens is that my stomach growls and I laugh.

“Feed me…” I giggle as Ethan walks towards the house again.

As I look over Ethan’s shoulder, I see Nic’s wolf burst free of his body. He takes off running and all I can do is shake my head. His drive to take care of me and make sure all of my needs are met is insane. I appreciate his efforts. It’s a big difference from how the rest of my guys are.

We make it back to the house, and Ruby is waiting with robes for us. Ethan lets me down long enough to get the robe on before he picks me up again. I scared him and it shows. He needs the contact with me to know I’m safe. Entering the kitchen, Nic is already at the stove cooking bacon and it smells like pancakes. It’s an odd meal for mid day but it’s the quickest thing he can make. Barrett comes into the kitchen and starts passing out the glasses of orange juice before sitting next to me.

“I’m guessing your plan backfired.” He says softly, seeing how tightly Ethan is still holding me.

“Yeah, I won’t make that mistake again.” I say before nuzzling Ethan, who still isn’t talking much. I’m getting more grunts and growls than words.

“Well, I wanted to ask you. Do you want to know the gender of the baby you’re carrying?” Barrett smiles looking at me and tilts his head to the side.

However, his question earned him a deep, threatening growl from Ethan. “It doesn’t matter the gender, Barrett. It’s our baby, and it’s perfect no matter what it is.” He glares at Barrett.

I stroke Ethan’s chest, trying to calm him down. Nic slides the plate of food near me and I shove a sausage in Ethan’s mouth to distract him. “Honestly, I do.” I stare down at my stomach and rub it gently.

“What’s your gut tell you that you’re carrying?” Conrad steps closer, earning yet another growl from Ethan.

“My gut is saying this pregnancy is different in every sense of the word. I honestly think it’s a boy. I didn’t get sick with Ashina, so since this time things are making me sick, I think it’s a son.” Ethan looks at me and the scowl he’s been wearing slowly fades.

“I saw a son in my vision at the lake.” Ethan says against my hair, only for me to hear.

Barrett passes out the ultrasounds and there are little blue dots in the right corner next to gender. I don’t know how I feel if I’m being honest with myself. Fear grips me, and my body trembles in Ethan’s arms.

“Why do you smell afraid?” Ethan murmurs next to my ear as the others take notice of my current state.

“What if the others wanted a daughter?” My bottom lip quivers and I fight to keep myself from crying.

Conrad places himself between me and the counter top sandwiching me between him and Ethan. “We want you and the baby happy and healthy. Obviously, we are failing if you are afraid of disappointing us. For that, I am truly sorry.” He presses his lips to my temple, then nuzzles my cheek.

Griffin approaches next and laughs a little. “Between Ashina and Nina, we definitely have plenty of daughters for now. A brother for the two of them would be a nice addition.” He smiles as he gently shoves Conrad out of the way.

Nic stands off to the side and I feel horrible. He is my mate, and he wasn’t with us for my heat because I was having issues accepting him. Biting my bottom lip, I decide to pull up my big girl panties and slide off Ethan’s lap. Reluctantly, the big guy releases me and I think he senses my intention.

Reaching out, I take Nic’s hand and walk with him over to my window seat and motion for him to sit. Carefully, I climb up with him and scoot until I’m sitting on his lap. “I’m sorry, Nic.” He wraps his arms around me and I watch the guys leave the room. The only one that lingers is Barrett, and he brings my food to me and kisses my temple before leaving.
