“Okay, I have a good relationship with Ambrose and Dustin. Ethan, you get along well with James and Nicolai, so please speak with them. Conrad, if Ricardo and the others show up, take two and send the third to me,” Griffin states before heading off to start speaking with the Alphas.

Ethan smirks and shakes his head, watching Griffin walk off. “Time to get the show on the road.” He hikes his thumb over his shoulder in the direction of where Griffin went.

“Yeah, I guess so.” We turn and head down the hallway, then leave the house, heading to the pack house.

Arriving at the pack house, dozens of people are outside mingling with the visiting pack members. Most are hoping to find their mates others are hoping to be chosen as compatible to someone. I spot the four alphas that have already arrived and head over to greet them.

“Welcome gentlemen! Always a pleasure to have everyone here.” I shake hands with each alpha and motion to the pack house behind them. Griffin has already headed inside and, more than likely has set up the meeting room that’s off the banquet hall.

“It’s been ages since I was last here. I believe I was seven and here for your christening, if memory serves correctly.” Nicolai says as he steps into the meeting room.

“Sounds about right.” Griffin says as he closes the distance and shakes Nicolai’s hand.

Nicolai studies Griffin, then looks over at Ethan as he enters. “Taking a mate has done you all some good. Ethan doesn’t look like he’s going to murder half the population.” He smiles as they close the distance and bro hug. “New cologne?” Nicolai looks at Ethan oddly.

“Body spray and deodorant, that’s it man.” Ethan laughs and rubs the back of his neck. “Gracie has done wonders for all of us. Nothing like the love of a good woman to tame the beast.” When Ethan says beast, his eyes take on the golden hue of his wolf.

“Grace is truly a miracle. Not only did she birth a pup while human, she survived being torn apart, then turned.” Ambrose steps forward as he relays the information about Grace’s turning.

“She sounds incredible. You are really lucky to have her.” Dustin offers as he steps forward, shaking hands with each of us.

“I would have to agree with the others.” James says as he shakes my hand. “When do we get to meet your little miracle mate?” The way he tilts his head sets Ethan on edge. Out of the corner of my eye, I watch him flex his hands several times, trying to remain calm.

“After the farce of a wedding that we are holding for the humans. We invited several of the human council members to witness the union.” I watch Griffin lead Ambrose off, leaving Ethan and me to wrangle the other alphas.

“I’m assuming she’s marrying Griffin?” Nicolai mentions as he looks around the room, studying it.

“No, she’s marrying me. I turned her and every time something happens, she runs to me. The rumors the humans would come up with would ruin Griff as mayor.” Ethan crosses his arms over his chest, getting irritated by Nicolai’s questions.

“Makes sense. Humans don’t understand poly families.” James says as he looks down at his phone. “We have several families in our pack that have more than three members in it, and it seems to work out well for them.” He smiles as he looks up from the message. “Sorry, my Beta was giving me the pack statistics.” He bows his head slightly to Ethan and me before Ethan walks off to mingle.

“Shall I escort everyone to their places?” I bow slightly and motion to the door to exit the meeting room.

“That would be wonderful. Will we get to meet your moon touched mate?” Dustin asks as we exit the room. I can only guess he wasn’t paying attention when James asked earlier or he’s hoping for a different answer.

“Yes, after the humans have all left. We already planned to have her shift for all of you so you can see her fur for yourselves.” All things considered, if any of them are her mate, she would know faster as her wolf than in her human form in theory.

“We appreciate your forethought, Conrad. Your brothers are lucky to have such an adept brother handling this delicate situation.” Nicolai says, smiling. His pack rivals the size of ours and Ambrose’s and would be an asset in the war against the rogues.

“Indeed, they are lucky.” Dustin mentions then looks around the room, spotting the seats with the individual Alphas names on the outer edge of the setting arrangements. We planned ahead that they would be able to guard the exit points of the room just in case of attack. Dustin himself has one of the largest packs in the region. Secretly, I hope he ends up a mate for Grace. Adding his pack to ours would be monumental in providing safety to our mate and future family.

“I see the seating arrangement has us almost as sentries around the room.” James mentions as he takes the room in.

“As I have explained previously, there is a rogue issue that Ambrose has been working diligently with us on. As Alphas, we are bigger and stronger than the average wolf in this room.” I stroke their egos gently and it seems to work.

“Ah, Conrad!” The town doctor Levi says as he approaches. “I see you have invited the heads of several of the largest corporations here for the wedding. Welcome gentlemen to our sleepy little town.” He extends his hand out and shakes the Alpha’s hands, not knowing what they truly are.

“It’s a beautiful little town. Your Mayor does a wonderful job managing it.” Nicolai offers as he smiles sincerely.

“Second generation Mayor, I bet no other town can say they have that!” Levi boasts proudly.

“Not many, sir, that’s for sure.” Dustin says as he leads the good doctor off towards their seats.

“How many humans are present?” James looks around, doing his own head count.

“Six total, one of which is our mate’s grandmother. She will sit with Ambrose since she knows about us.” As the words slip from my lips, Nicolai looks shocked. “She was mated to one of our kind. Just never accepted the bite.” Soon as I clarify, Nicolai and James settle down.

“We’ve got this,” James says, then moves to his seat. Nicolai bows his head before turning to go to his seat.
